CTET 2022 Languages: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates who want to secure a teaching job in government schools. It is a national-level exam.The CTET 2022 online application window was closed on November 24, 2022 and the CTET 2022 exam will be conducted on December 28, 2022 in CBT mode.
The CTET notification 2022 PDF was released on October 31, 2022 as an "information bulletin," which contains all the details of the exam, including languages.
The Union Resource Development Minister revised the CTET Exam Language Options in 2018. Now, the CTET 2022 will be conducted in 20 Indian languages. Earlier, CBSE declared it would remove 17 languages from the CTET examination.
The CTET exam centres cities list is released by the CBSE in the official notification of the exam at ctet.nic.in. However, the exact CTET exam centre is intimated to candidates through their admit cards. Candidates can check the name and address of the CTET exam centre allotted to them by downloading their admit cards. Candidates need to follow the given steps to check CTET exam centre:

CTET Exam 2022: Language I
As per the official notification, the test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction. This section consists of 30 questions, and each question carries one mark.
CTET Exam 2022: Language II
The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities. Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate can choose any one language as Language I and another as Language II from the above-mentioned language options. Candidates must include this information on the confirmation page. In the CTET exam, Language II focuses on the elements of language and comprehension abilities. It is also based on the same basic concepts as language I. It also consists of 30 questions, and each question carries one mark.
The CTET exam fee differs for General category and Reserved category candidates. General category candidates need to pay INR 1,000 as CTET exam fee for one paper and INR 1,200 for two papers. On the other hand, reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, OBC and others need to pay INR 500 for one paper and INR 600 for both papers.
The CTET 2026 exam date has been announced by the CBSE. The CTET exam will be held on February 8, 2026 offline in pen and paper mode. The exam is conducted on a single day in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET 2022: Structure and Exam Pattern
In the CTET exam, all questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternative answers, out of which one will be most appropriate. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.
CTET Exam comprises two papers:
Paper I is for those candidates who want to teach Classes I to V.
Paper II is for those candidates who want to teach Classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who wants to be a teacher at both levels will have to appear in both papers.
The CTET 2022 Paper 1 consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from five subjects, namely, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. On the other hand, CTET Paper 2 consists of four subjects Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences.
