RRB JE CBT 2 Shift 2 Exam: The Railway Recruitment Board is conducting the RRB JE 2025 CBT 2 Shift 2 re-exam for session 2024 on June 4, 2025, at various centres across the country. The RRB JE CBT 2 2025 admit cards were released on the official website. It is advised to the candidates to read the important instructions mentioned on the admit card. The RRB JE CBT 2 Shift 2 re-exam will start at 2:30 pm. It will conclude at 4:30 pm. Candidates are not allowed to enter the exam venue after the closure of the entry. The RRB released 7,934 RRB JE vacancies in the official notification. RRB JE recruitment is a recruitment exercise meant to recruit the Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) in various Departments of Railways.

In the RRB JE CBT 2 exam, there will be 150 MCQs asked in the examination, each carrying one mark. Subjects included are General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities. The duration of the exam is two hours, or 120 minutes. The minimum qualifying mark is 40%. Also, there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd of a mark. RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Timings 2025: Exam Day Guidelines

RRB JE CBT 2 exam day guidelines are provided below:

  • Candidates can check RRB JE CBT 2 admit card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of the exam conducting authority.
  • Bring the printout of RRB JE CBT 2 admit card along with the original photo identity card.
  • Candidates are advised to visit RRB JE CBT 2 exam centre in advance to familarise themselves with the location to avoid the last minute hassle in their own interest.
  • They should reach the exam centre well in advance.
  • Candidates should read the instructions carefully before the exam.

While appearing for the exam, candidates must carry the below-mentioned documents for verification:

  • Mandatory Items to Carry to Exam Venue:
    • Printed e-call letter (RRB JE CBT 2 admit card)
    • Colour passport-size photograph
    • Valid original photo ID card
  • Aadhaar Requirement:
    • Aadhaar card must be carried to facilitate Aadhaar-enabled biometric verification under the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance Rules 2020
  • Photo ID Requirement:
    • At least two original and valid photo ID cards (not photocopied, scanned, or expired) must be presented
    • Acceptable ID cards include:
      • Voter ID Card
      • Aadhaar Card or printed e-Aadhaar
      • Driving License
      • PAN Card
      • Passport
      • Employer-issued ID (for Govt. employees)
      • School/College/University photo ID
      • SSLC/HSC mark sheet with photo
  • Candidates must note that photocopies of ID proofs will not be accepted, and the photo on the RRB JE 2024 CBT 2 admit card as well as the passport-sized photograph must match the candidate’s actual face.
  • Banned items/electronic gadgets such as Mobile phones, pager, watches, earphone, Bluetooth enabled devices, microphone, health bands, calculators, book, pen, paper, pencil, eraser, pouch, scale, writing pad, metallic wears, bangles, religious symbols, ornaments, mangal sutra, belts, bracelets, handbag, cap, purse, camera, water bottle, packaged/open food items etc. are not allowed inside the Test Centre. Any infringement of this instruction shall entail summary rejection besides legal action including debarment from future examinations. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones etc. to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for safekeeping cannot be assured. Candidates are requested not to apply Henna on their hands/Feet as this obstructs the capture of Biometrics.
  • There will be a negative marking for wrong answers. For every wrong answer, 1/3rd mark will be deducted.
  • Also, rough sheets / pen would be provided by the invigilator at the examination center. Candidates are strictly instructed not to bring any rough sheets / pen. All the rough sheets and pens used should be handed over to the invigilator on completion of exam.
  • Candidates are requested to carry their Aadhaar Card to the Exam center. There will be Aadhaar enabled biometric verification of candidates at the exam center.
  • Candidates, including those, who have verified their Aadhaar during the application submission stage, are requested to ensure that their Aadhaar remains in unlocked condition in the UIDAI system before coming to exam center to avoid inconvenience and facilitate registration and exam-related processes on the exam day.

The minimum qualifying marks in the RRB JE exam vary as per the categories. For General Category it is 40%, for SC/OBC it is 30%, and for ST it is 25%. 

General/EWS: 60 marks out of 150
SC/OBC: 45 marks out of 150
