AFCAT_Exam_Analysis

Indian Air Force (IAF) is conducting AFCAT (1) 2021 online across various cities in the country. AFCAT exam is being conducted in two shifts: 9.45 am to 11.45 am and 2.15 pm to 4.15 pm. According to the feedback provided by students, the overall paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The General Awareness section was moderate, Verbal Ability in English was easy, Numerical Ability was difficult and Reasoning and Military Aptitude was easy. 

AFCAT exam pattern 2021 was divided into four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. The duration of the test was two hours. The question paper carried a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to AFCAT exam are 300. Shiksha visited one of the AFCAT exam centres in South Delhi where more than 200 candidates had appeared in the exam to gather their feedback regarding the section-wise and overall difficulty levels.

Akshat Malik said, "The paper was easy as compared to AFCAT (2) 2020 exam. Questions from Maths, Reasoning, GA, and English were easy. I have attempted 80 questions. Questions from GA were asked from APHID, place where the first cricket world cup took place, who wrote Ramayana, face-off between India and China in Galwan Valley, Origami, capital of Hungary, etc."

Ashish Kumar Rao, "The paper was easy in terms of difficulty level. The Reasoning carried questions from both verbal and non-verbal part and it was easy. The static GK questions were asked from ancient and modern history and the paper was of medium level. English was easy and Maths was quite difficult. In Maths, questions were mostly asked from percentage, speed, time, distance, ratio. There was total of 18 questions from Maths. There were 32 questions in Reasoning and 25 questions each were asked in GA and English. In English questions were asked from Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Spotting Error, etc."

Rudraksh said, "The paper was moderate, and it was not difficult. The Maths section was easy compared to the previous years. The Reasoning was moderate, Verbal Ability was easy, Military Aptitude was easy. Questions in GA were asked from Sports, Awardees, Parliament, etc."

Lokendra said, "The paper was easy compared to last year. The questions in Numerical Ability were easy. Reasoning questions were moderate. Questions asked in English were easy. The GA section was moderate. Questions in Numerical Ability were asked from time, work, average, etc. In Reasoning questions were asked from word meaning, series, coding-decoding, etc. In English questions were asked from synonyms, antonyms, idioms, paragraphs, etc."

AFCAT 1 cut off 2026 will be released in March. It is common across all categories. Candidates need to secure the required cut off to qualify the exam. It is decided based on the exam difficulty level.

AFCAT 1 2026 exam analysis will be released on January 31. This will be provided after the completion of the exam. They can refer to the same to check the level of the exam. They can also know the topics from where questions were asked in the exam.
