TSTET Paper 1 & 2 Key Analysis 2023

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana is conducting TSTET 2023 exam on September 15, 2023. The TSTET 2023 Paper 1 was held from 9.30 am to 12.00 noon and Paper 2 is being conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. In 2023, 2,69,557 applications were received for TSTET Paper-1 and 2,08,498 applications for Paper-2. This year, 1139 examination centres have been set up for Paper 1. 913 examination centres have been allotted for Paper 2 examination.

Q:   What is the exam pattern of TS TET?
A:

The exam pattern of the TSTET (Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is as follows:

1. The TSTET exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.

2. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 in schools in Telangana. Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 in schools in Telangana. Candidates can appear for both papers if they wish to teach classes 1 to 8 in schools in Telangana.

3. Both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries one mark.

4. The duration of both papers is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

5. The questions in both papers are divided into five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environment Studies.

6. The language 1 section is based on the language chosen by the candidate (Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, or Tamil).

7. The language 2 section is based on English for all candidates.

8. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150 marks) to qualify in the TSTET exam. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PH categories are given a relation of 5% in the qualifying marks.

The TSTET Exam Pattern lays down the structure of the question paper. The TSTET Exam Pattern 2024 differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
