For the academic session 2025-2026, the IIT JAM 2025 exam was concluded on February 2, 2025, at 100 exam centres across the nation. IIT Delhi, the exam officials will test the domain knowledge of candidates for the programmes offered. MSc Biotechnology is one of the courses for which the JAM 2025 exam will be conducted. Q:   What is the selection criteria for admission to BSc at IIT Bombay?
A:
All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterward, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2, 24,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced. The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards. The Admissions into IIT Bombay is done through JoSAA on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.
Q:   How can I get admission in IIT Bombay with JEE?
A:

Candidates wishing to get into BTech course of IIT Bombay have to qualify for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. The selected candidates based on JEE score are allotted seat through JoSAA Counselling. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for JEE Main. BTech course aspirants have to apply through JEE Main by filling out an application form through the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls (general/gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) category). Followed by JEE Main, students have to register for JEE Advanced. For this, candidates have to first login with their JEE Main 2023 application number and password. Further, candidates have to fill out the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. 

Q:   Can I get admission at IIT Roorkee with 80% marks in Class 12 Boards?
A:

At IIT Roorkee, the minimum aggregate required for its offerd courses ranges between 50% to 75% in Class 12 boards. Hence, you are certainly eligible to apply for the courses provided at the institute. However, admissions to the programmes at IIT Roorkee are done on entrance basis. One can secure a seat at the institute if they have sucessfully cleared the cut-off for the relevant exam and course. Q:   What is the admission process for IIT Roorkee?
A:

IIT Roorkee admission to its flagship courses BArch and BTech is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced Counselling. For admission, students are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to IIT Roorkee BTech. The aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in).

Followed by JEE Main, students are required to register for JEE Advanced. Next, candidates have to fill in the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. The photo and signature in the online JEE Advanced application form will already be populated from the JEE Main application form.

As many as 73,360 candidates applied for IIT JAM 2025 out of which 62,654 candidates qualified for the exam.
