How can I get admission to B.Sc Biotechnology abroad?

Undergraduate courses in Biotechnology are taught in top foreign nations such as The US, UK, Australia, Canada and many more. The foreign nations offer world-class infrastructure, research facilities and superior placement options. However, the courses offered are more expensive so the students have to opt for scholarships.

The eligibility criteria vary from country to country. But, some of the basic eligibility remains the same:

If I failed in physics in class 12th will I be eligible for B.Sc biotechnology?

No, you will not be eligible for B.Sc biotechnology. For admission in B.Sc biotechnology you have to pass in PCM/ PCB. If you fail in any of the subjects you will not be eligible for B.Sc biotechnology.

Is it compulsory to study Mathematics in Class 12 in order to be eligible for BSc Biotechnology?

Although it is not compulsory to have studied Mathematics as a subject in Class 11-12 level to apply for a BSc in Biotechnology course, students should have pursued the Science stream and studied Biology as a core subject. 

The minimum eligibility requirement for BSc Biotechnology is to pass Class 10 and 12 with Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as core subjects, with min 50% overall (45% for SC/ST candidates), and 60% in each core subject. 

As it is a BSc course, unlike BTech students who have done PCM or PCB in Class 12 are eligible for admission.

What will be the difference between private and government colleges for BSc Biotechnology?

Government colleges have more affordable fees as compared to private BSc Biotechnology colleges in India. Private colleges has modern building and good faculty. Moreover, admission to private colleges is based on both merit or entrance basis. However, government colleges accept students on exam scores.
