The National Testing Agency conducted the CUET 2026 exam at the designated exam centres. The CUET exam is conducted nationwide in multiple shifts. The NTA ask the candidates to opt for three exam centres in their CUET application form and tries to assign the exam centre from the opted choices. The NTA also release this data of candidates getting exam centre of their first preference in the public domain.

The NTA inform the candidates about their exam centre in their CUET admit card only. The NTA also releases the CUET City Intimation Slip for the candidates to inform them about their city of examination. It is released around ten days before their CUET exam.

How to Select CUET Exam City 2026?

CUET exam centre preference can be selected while filling the application form. NTA has now closed the registration window. Candidates appearing for CUET exam, could follow steps below to enter centre preference:

Visit CUET 2026 website, cuet.nta.nic.in
In Exam City preference section of CUET 2026 application form, select two cities in preferred order.
Complete application process by paying application fee.
Exam city preference can be changed during correction window.

Q: How is CUET exam centre allocated?

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allocates an exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical considerations.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.

Q: How can I check my CUET exam centre?

Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. The name of exam centre will be mentioned on the intimation alip in advance to help candidates make preparations accordingly. Q: Can I change the CUET exam centre allotted to me?

On release of the CUET city intimation slip and CUET admit card, no request for a change in exam centre will be entertained. Allotment of candidates to the Shift will be based on the options exercised and technical and administrative considerations. CUET admit cards will be issued for each shift based on the components opted by candidates. No request for change of date/shift will be entertained. Candidates will be allotted the CUET exam centre as per the preferences filled by them during the registration process. Candidates are advised to fill the CUET application form details carefully. CUET exam is conducted in more than 200 exam centres across India.

Important Guidelines for CUET Exam Centre 2026

Test takers must follow the below guidelines at CUET exam centre 2026:

Carry CUET admit cards to exam centre. Without hall ticket, applicant will not be allowed to appear for exam.
Carry valid identity proof such as Aadhaar Card/voter id/driving licence.
Reach allotted exam centre at least half an hour before scheduled time.
Students appearing for exam are not allowed to carry any electronic devices or paper.
The student should also not engage in unfair means.

Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.

Q: What is the dress code for CUET UG?

To appear for CUET UG exam, candidates must make sue to follow the below mentioned dress code:

Candidates must not wear long sleeve clothes.
