
The National Testing Agency conducted the CUET 2026 exam at the designated exam centres. The CUET exam is conducted nationwide in multiple shifts. The NTA ask the candidates to opt for three exam centres in their CUET application form and tries to assign the exam centre from the opted choices. The NTA also release this data of candidates getting exam centre of their first preference in the public domain.

How to Select CUET Exam City 2026?
CUET exam centre preference can be selected while filling the application form. NTA has now closed the registration window. Candidates appearing for CUET exam, could follow steps below to enter centre preference:
- Visit CUET 2026 website, cuet.nta.nic.in
- In Exam City preference section of CUET 2026 application form, select two cities in preferred order.
- Complete application process by paying application fee.
- Exam city preference can be changed during correction window.

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allocates an exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical considerations.
While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.
Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. The name of exam centre will be mentioned on the intimation alip in advance to help candidates make preparations accordingly. The CUET 2026 admit card is expected to release three to four days prior to the day of examination in online mode. Allotment of candidates to the Shift will be based on the options exercised and technical and administrative considerations. Test takers must follow the below guidelines at CUET exam centre 2026:
- Carry CUET admit cards to exam centre. Without hall ticket, applicant will not be allowed to appear for exam.
- Carry valid identity proof such as Aadhaar Card/voter id/driving licence.
- Reach allotted exam centre at least half an hour before scheduled time.
- Students appearing for exam are not allowed to carry any electronic devices or paper.
