Yes, at VIT Vellore campus, candidates can choose to pursue BTech in Computer Science & Engineering course across the following eight sub-specialisations:

Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ ST/ applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North-Eastern states) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent) from a recognised board to apply for the BTech course. Apart from the qualification, candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned criteria:

• Applicant must be a resident/ non-resident Indian National/ PIO
• Candidates having Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry in Class 12 only are eligible for all the BTech
• Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology and English for admission to BTech Biotechnology, CSE Bioinformatics and ECE Biomedical Engineering.

The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round. 

The total tuition fee for VIT Vellore BTech ranges between INR 4.9 lakh and 7.8 lakh. The total course fee, includes a caution deposit of INR 3,000 as well. The fee will vary as per the specialisation selected by the candidates. BTech is available in 24 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats.

In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. The application fee for BTech courses is INR 1,350. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode.
