It is human nature to be afraid of failure but it’s a blunder if you start restricting yourself after the failure. There is no achiever who hasn’t faced failure.
So, don’t fear failure as it is part of the process. Rather than fearing and thinking about failure, divert your energy towards your aim. We become what we think. So, if we will continuously think and fear the failure then it will consume the time which we should be investing in our goal.
You can go through the following parameters to overcome the fear of failure:
- Communicate – Communicate with people having greater experience in life and your field. Often we don’t have enough time in our life to learn from our own mistakes. So learn from other’s mistakes. Listening to success stories and following them accordingly is a very efficient way towards success. If you are well aware of the mistakes or failures that can be faced on the way then you will have greater confidence to face it or overcome it.
- Divert your energy – This is a very helpful trick that I would really like to share with you. Humans have an obvious instinct to think negatively or presume some danger. We focus more on the things or incidence that we don’t want. For example- we say “Tomorrow I don’t want to be late for class” or “I really don’t want to get stuck in the jam”. We hardly focus or ask for the “WANT” in a positive way. For example – “Tomorrow I want to reach the class on time” or “I really want to go back home smooth and fast.” The proper choice of words while talking with others or while self-talk is very important.as it curves our subconscious mind leaving an imprint on our thought process and behaviour while we are conscious. So, focus more on what you want rather than you don’t want.
- Strategise – Know your goal or get a clear vision towards your goal so that you can make plans for achieving them. Get so busy while working towards your dream that you just don’t get any time to think or fear about your failure. And if you have a very well-strategised plan for your exam preparation or towards your goal then there will be less chance of failure. Under tensed conditions also your mind will stay calm as everything is pre-planned.
- Hard work – It is the only key to success and if you have the key to success then there is no space for loose thoughts. Put all your efforts on your exam preparations and work hard. As we all know that there is no shortcut on the way to success.
I would like to conclude the topic by emphasising on one parameter that just doesn't think much about failure. So, just think positive and focus on your work or your next step.

Yes, you should prepare for SNAP separately, especially with regard to sample question and mock test practice. Even if you don't cover the syllabus separately, practice SNAP mock test specifically.
