Fear is something that all of us experience in different situations. Whenever we experience it, the outcome of what we plan to achieve doesn’t always turn out to be positive. It’s quite natural. Believe me, I have been there.

Talking about how students can overcome fear, let me tell you that there is no permanent solution for this. It’s actually a state of mind in different circumstances. Sometimes, what might seem to be a solution in one situation may not serve as a solution in another situation. What I would like to tell my friends at this point of time is that you train yourselves to be calm in situations. It’s not just the situations that induce fear in you but it takes place in normal situations too. When you are calm, you can actually yield better results.

The word ‘fear’ can actually refer to exams, sharing the results with your parents, situations in which you might have to visit the faculty privately, etc. In all these situations, just think about one thing: what is the worst that can happen? Maybe you might get some scolding, maybe you might have to spend a little extra time in classes for improvement, professors might mock you in class, etc. But this is not the end of the world. These things are quite normal in a student’s life.

Even I have gone through it in my school days. I was made to sit in school after class for remedial classes. I had to watch my friends go home while sitting in class doing the work that I never wanted to do in the first place. I have been sent out of the class and mocked openly so bad that I just wanted to quit schooling. Now, there is almost nothing that can bring me down or stop me because I always consider that nothing can stop you in your life if you are determined and focused.

Sometimes you experience sweating, shivering hands, inability to think straight, etc. It’s time you understand that these things are quite normal. After all, we are human beings. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is to try to stay cool and normal. Take some time to think about the situation and what are the alternatives that you have and what are the possible outcomes. Sometimes the outcomes may not be that good. But this is the way in which you can face your fears and deal with tough situations. If you feel that you need a person with you at that particular time, it’s completely fine but you should also keep in mind that sometimes you may have to fight your battles on your own.

Also, there might be situations in which you may have already planned something according to your will. But you may come across people, who might tell you that it might not work out or might question you about it. This can create a doubt in your mind as well which may lead to fear of not completing it. Those are the kind of people that you should avoid first in your life. If you are able to plan something in your life, it is a really good thing. It doesn’t matter if it would work out or not. The important thing is that you stay dedicated to it. Never deviate your plans because someone just told you to. Sometimes, you may be able to complete only half of the work but it was because of your hard work in planning. So, the next time you will get a better idea of how to plan more accurately.

The next time you encounter a bad situation, be it your exam result or anything else, just keep in mind that it is just a bad day, not a bad life. Whatever situations you face in your life, make sure that you stay calm, don’t react all of a sudden, take some time to think about it and act accordingly. If you ask me, this is the best solution to deal with any sort of problem in your life.

Yes, you should prepare for SNAP separately, especially with regard to sample question and mock test practice. Even if you don't cover the syllabus separately, practice SNAP mock test specifically.
