Workshops, Seminars and Course-Specific Projects Offered at IIT Bombay
There are several other institutions (such as NUS Singapore and TUB Germany) and organisations (such as the Asian Universities Alliance) with which IIT Bombay has an exchange and collaborative programs for faculty and students. It aims to provide first-hand multicultural exposure to concepts of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship through a series of classroom lectures and field visits for the participants.

IDEAS: Innovation, Development, and Entrepreneurship with Alumni Support is the key mentoring program introduced in 2017 and supported by the Class of 1990 alumni of IIT Bombay. Providing accelerated hands-on training, it enables first-time entrepreneurs to progress faster towards venture creation, including startup incubation.
WiE: The Women in Entrepreneurship (WiE) program, supported by CGI’s CSR program, encourages and supports aspiring women entrepreneurs. IIT Bombay students, staff, and residents are invited to attend. Participation is also encouraged among women from outside IIT Bombay.
Fundamentals of IPR: This workshop at IIT Bombay is open to anyone interested in IPR. This program imparts the fundamentals of intellectual property. IP is explained by what, why, when, where, and how. Individuals interested in starting up, UG/PG/PhD students looking to commercialise their research, projects, or theses, and professionals interested in learning a value-added skill set will find the introductory workshop valuable.
Mediation-moderation workshop: This workshop at IIT Bombay helps scholars understand the process of theory development using mediation, moderation, moderated mediation, and mediated moderation approaches.
Patent Searching and Drafting Workshop: This workshop at IIT Bombay aims to provide the guidance and techniques for effective prior art searches required for patent applications, as well as the techniques for drafting an effective patent claim.
