Thapar University offers four-year BE/BTech courses at the undergraduate level, candidates seeking admission to TIET Patiala must visit the official website of the University to apply online. Yes, TIET considers Class 12 marks for admission to the BE/BTech courses along with valid JEE Main scores. Based on the marks secured in the entrance exam, a merit list is prepared. The merit list prepared by the University for BTech admission also includes the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Maths during the Class 12 examination.

The total number of seats available for BTech courses in Jadavpur University is 51. Candidates are admitted to the Technology programme in accordance with the seat intake.  The department of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering at MIT was established in 2008 and offers two undergraduate programs and four postgraduate programs. The department has state-of-the-art infrastructure including an autoclave, flight simulator, low subsonic wind tunnel, advanced composites lab, computation lab, gas turbine testing rig, avionics lab, and Trinidad TB 20 aircraft.

In contrast, the Mechanical Engineering programme at MIT is also a 4-year undergraduate course that requires minimum eligibility of Class 12 examination with Science subjects such as Biology Maths and Chemistry. The testimonials of alumni suggest that the recruiting companies are good for Mechanical Engineering graduates like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, Ashok Leyland, Cummins, Vedanta, and John Deere among others. It is difficult to compare both the sub-streams because the focus and the curriculum for both of them vary. Therefore, students can select any of the sub-streams depending on their interests and aptitude.

With an AIR of 6800 and a Tamil Nadu Rank (TNR) of 1879 at SASTRA Deemed University, you have a decent chance of getting a seat in core engineering branches like Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Chemical but top-tier choices like CSE or ECE will be difficult.

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at GIET University and C. V. Raman Global University are 1374 and 1290, respectively. While GIET University offers this course in 18 specialisations, C. V. Raman Global University offers the same in 27 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at GIET University due to higher seats.
