IPMAT 2026 cutoff will be released by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, after the release of IPMAT result 2026. Students will be shortlisted after the Personal Interview, based on the IPMAT Indore cut-off 2026. Selected candidates will be called for online PI and final selection will be made based on IPMAT scores, cutoff and PI round.

What is IPMAT Cut Off?

IPMAT cutoff is the minimum score required for the students to score in IPMAT exam 2026 to be shortlisted for the online Personal Interview. IIM Indore considers sectional and overall cutoff for admissions to IPM programme. This means, candidates who take the IPMAT exam 2026 should clear both sectional and overall cutoff. If the candidates do not meet the cutoff criteria for IPMAT 2026, they will not be shortlisted even if the score is high.

Q:   Does meeting the IPMAT cut-off guarantee admission?
A: 

No, meeting the IPMAT cutoff alone does not guarantee the admission to the IPM programme. Students can qualify for the next stage of the selection process if they match the cutoff and then perform well in Personal Interview and academic performance. Candidates who do well in the personal interview as well as the IPMAT exam may have their name in the merit list released by IIM Indore.

Q:   Will I be eligible for IPMAT if I scored 75% in my CBSE 12th board?
A: 

Yes, if one has scored 75% in Class 12, they will be eligible for the IPMAT exam. IIM Indore accepts candidates who gave secured a minimum of 60% aggregate. For the students belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, the minimum academic cutoff is 55% aggregate.

Q:   Is the IPMAT cut-off the same for IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak?

No the IPMAT cutoff for IIM INdore and IIM Rohtak are not the same. Both the IIMs conduct different IPMAT exams. IIM Indore conducts IPMAT Indore and the exam conducted by IIM Rohtak is called the IPMAT Rohtak exam. Thus, both the institues have different cutoff and selection processes. Various factors such as number of applicants, difficulty level, number of seats available for the programme and overall performance of the candidates affect different cutoffs. 

Q:   If any student gets 2% less than 60% in Class 10 or Class 12, will he be able to take IPMAT?
A: 

Minimum eligibility criteria for IPMAT is a score of at least 60 per cent in both Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent for General and NC-OBC categories. Candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% in case of SC, ST and PWD DA categories. 

Also, they should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026. 

Q:   How to calculate the IPMAT scores?
A: 

IPMAT score is based on correct answers marked in IPMAT exam.

For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded. For an incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.
