No, the MP Board exam pattern 2027 has not been changed so far. However, the MPBSE 10th exam pattern was changed in 2025. As per the changes introduced in 2025, the number of short answer type questions (2 marks) is now increased while the number of long answer questions (4 marks) is decreased. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education announced the MP Board class 10 time table 2026 for both theory and practical exams. The time table released by the board include the date of both theory and practical exams. The exams were held in pen and paper mode from February 13 and March 6, 2026.

Q:   How many candidates appear for the MPBSE 10th exam?

Every year, Lakhs of students appear for the MP Board class 10 board exams. Last year, more than 5 Lacs candidates appeared for the MPBSE 10th exams. Class 10 overall pass percentage was recorded at 63.29%. This year too, more than 5 Lacs students are expected to appear for the exam. After the registration process, the board will provide exact data for the number of students appearing for MP Board exams 2023 class 10.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of the MP Board 10th exam?
A: 

The board releases the MP Board class 10 sample paper for the students on its website. Sample papers released by the board also include the marking scheme of the exam. The total marks of each subject is 100. The subjects which have practical tests are marked as 80 for theory and 20 for practical. Both multiple-choice and subjective-type questions are asked in the exam.

Usually, each MCQ is of one mark. On the other hand, the marking scheme for subjective-type questions may vary from section to section. Students need to secure at least 33% marks in each subject to clear the exam.
