The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh) is the state government administered autonomous body and is the examining authority for the examinations of Class 10 and Class 12. It was set up in the year 1921 as an act of the United Provinces Legislative Council. The Education Council is the highest institution in the world to conduct high school (10th class) and intermediate level examinations (Class 12th). 
Headquartered in Prayagraj, which was originally called Allahabad, the Board is Asia’s largest board in terms of the number of students appearing every year. At present, there are more than 22,000 secondary schools recognized by the board and it conducts the examinations and prepares results of nearly 58 lakh students.

To be able to dispense its responsibility on such a huge scale, the board operates from its multiple regional offices in Meerut, Varanasi and Bareilly along with the head office in Allahabad (Prayagraj). Headed by Shri Nath Verma, Education Director and Nina Srivastava, Secretary, the board conducts most of its activities related to the exams online. From notifications regarding UP Board exams/exam centres to the announcement of results and release of merit list – everything is made available online. 

Registrations for Class 10th and Class 12th exams are done in August and September, through schools affiliated to the board.

The Board has declared the UP Board class 10 and 12 exam dates 2020. The exams will be held from February 18, 2020, and end on March 6, 2020. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma announced the dates of UP Board exams 2020 along with the dates of answer sheet evaluation and results. The Board has also released the UP practical examinations date sheet 2020 for the intermediate students (Class 12th). The practicals for Class 12 will be held in two phases. 

UP Board Class 10^th and 12^th Exams 2020: Important Dates

DATE SHEET

The UP Board Class 10th exam will be held from February 18 till March 3, 2020, and the UP Board Class 12th exam will be held from February 18 till March 6, 2020. The exams will be held in two sessions. The first session will be held from 8 am to 11:15 am and the second session will be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

The answer sheets will be evaluated from March 15 to 25, 2020 and the UP Board results will be declared between April 20-25, 2020.

The UP Board has released the syllabus for classes 10th and 12th for the academic year 2019-20. Students must go through the syllabus carefully and start the preparations well in time.

UP Board Model Papers 2020

The Uttar Pradesh Board has released the UP Board model papers for Class 10th and class 12th examination 2020 on its official website. The model papers give an insight into the pattern of the type of questions being asked and the distribution of marks across different questions. Students would be able to analyse the overall design of the question paper with the help of these model papers and prepare for the UP Board exams accordingly.

UP Board Model Papers Class 10:

Till now, the UP Board has just released the model papers for the subjects of Social Science, Khudra Vyapar, Security, Automobile, IT-ITES. The Board will soon release the model papers for other subjects as well.

The model papers for the rest of the subjects are expected soon.

Preparation

1. Take breaks in between

Students must take little breaks in between studying as it helps in refreshing the mind. Breaks are necessary to break the monotony.

2. Revise and re-revise

Revision is one of the most important aspects while preparing for any exam. Students must revise all the syllabus with strict regularity, and also find enough time to re-revise everything before the day of the UP Board 2020 exams.

3. Practise mock test papers

Practising mock test papers is very essential. A student must solve at least 5-10 mock tests to analyse own preparation and also to get an insight into the type of questions asked. Solving as many mock tests also help in time management.
