Remember one thing that the secret to crack CAT is “Speed & Accuracy”. Read on to know more what Abdullah has to say about the CAT exam.
Common Admission Test (CAT), conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for the intake of management programmes for the top B-schools in India. CAT 2019 will be conducted on 24 November and Master in Business Administration (MBA) aspirants are left with few days for preparation. Last days left to the exam is highly critical and can be a game-changer if smart work and consistency is maintained:
- Don’t take any new topics or also don’t build any last-minute different strategy, which will not suit your nature and acumen.
- Usually, take one mock a day till before the day of CAT i.e. 22 November.
- Take rest on 23 November and be stress-free. Also, enjoy the day.
- Most importantly eat healthy before the day of CAT and also on the day of exam.
- Work more on your strengths rather than on your weak areas.
- The more you practice and analyse the mock paper questions, you will realise that the questions which you made a mistake you could have given correct answers to. So, work on those questions seriously.
- On the exam day make sure you attempt those topics first that you are good at, rather than wasting time on the questions for which you don’t know the answer or that are lengthy and time-consuming. Make sure you are taking all the required documents, hall ticket, etc., with you. Also, reach the venue atleast half an hour prior to reporting time so that you don’t get yourself into stress.
- Attempt last five years’ CAT papers and also, CAT mock test.
- Sit at the same place and the same timing of the CAT Exam slot during your mock tests.
- Remember one thing that the secret to crack CAT is “Speed & Accuracy”.
- Be confident.

If you don't meet the minimum academic criteria for MBA, you will not be selected for the WAT-PI round of any B-School. Meeting the minimum criteria of at least 50% marks in graduation (45% for reserved category candidates), is mandatory for admission.
