This college gives an enormous amount of opportunities.

Placements: Last year, 65% of students from my branch got placed. The highest package was 52 LPA, the lowest was 7.2 LPA, and the average package was 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. 60% of students got internships from my course. Roles offered were SDE roles, product management roles, and research roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the lecture hall, lab, and hostel rooms is quite good. Hostels have double occupancy for first and second-year students and single occupancy for third and fourth-year students. The lecture hall and lab are fully Wi-Fi connected. We have two types of library: one in central and the other one in the hostel.

Faculty: Teaching is quite helpful, but an old curriculum is followed. Professors are highly qualified and have studied and taught in various different institutes around the world. There are various types of professors. A few professors are very chill, and a few are very strict.

Other: One will get connected to the top brains of the country.

The most beautiful campus.

Placements: About 70% were placed, the highest was around 50 LPA, and the average was around 20 LPA. The top core recruiting company was Texas Instruments, whereas many people went for finance companies. A few students got internships from my course ( mostly quant). Many students opted for higher studies.

Infrastructure: The classroom complex is great, but the quality of food in the mess is not good; there is more masala in the buttermilk than in the food. There is a hospital inside the campus, and another one is being built. There are 2 big sports complexes on the campus and many sports clubs.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are always ready to help (except for a few rude ones). The curriculum is relevant. The exams are tough, especially in mathematics. Many people failed in that subject (especially people from lower branches such as Biosciences).

Other: I chose the course because I was interested in studying Physics. Fests are great, and the surrounding areas are also very beautiful.

Engineering Physics is good only for research.

Placements: Around 60% of students in the B.Tech in EP are placed, which is less. Because most of the students do not sit for placements as they are more enthusiastic towards research or higher studies. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Walmart, Zomato, and Microsoft recruit students. Students can change their field irrespective of their department to different roles like SDE, finance, quant, consulting, or product management. The highest salary package offered is 39 LPA. The median salary package offered is 22 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Out of a batch of 60, only 8-10 students secured internships. A lot of others (10-15) got research internships, which I would count out.

Infrastructure: We have great and advanced electrical labs in Physics department and other labs are also well-equipped. Technicians are also very smart and helpful. The whole academic block, hostel rooms, and other common areas are equipped with free Wi-Fi that has a decent speed. Only the core 5 classroom complex and lecture halls are air-conditioned, and some classes are in other scores. Most of our classes will be in Core 5, which means mostly great classes. Every hostel has its own library, and we also have a great central library with air-conditioning. It has a great number of books and a lot of seating space. Hostel rooms are double-occupancy for 1st and 2nd-year students. Food in the mess is not great. Still, they serve a lot of options. We can always call for an ambulance from any security desk. Hospital is also good and provides free medicine with no charges. All hostels have a gym and a sports room. Overall, a gym is efficient and well-maintained. Sports facilities are great if we know how to use them.

Faculty: No doubt, IIT Guwahati has one of the best faculty members in India. Teaching quality is not very bad. Some professors are good and some are very bad at teaching. The EP course is far irrelevant for any industry but it is good if we are interested in research. Semester exams are difficult in the Physics department as professors here are not very supportive.

Other: I chose this course because I have an affection for Physics, and the best part is that it provides enough opportunities. There are a lot of fests organized on campus. We have all types of crowds as street-smart, bookworms, etc. Campus is pretty much out of Guwahati city like it is on the other side of the city. We can even take a ferry to reach there.

IIT Guwahati- College review.

Placements: Approximately 70% got placed and some students went on to higher studies. The highest package will be around 45–50 LPA, the lowest around 13–15 LPA and the average will be around 29 LPA. Top companies like "Maang" came for on-campus placements. And company placement criteria differ from company to company.

Infrastructure: All the infrastructure facilities provided are quite good. On the majority of the campus, you will get Wi-Fi connectivity. Labs are equipped with good equipment. All hostels have library facilities, and a central library facility for the whole campus is available. Mess food is good and it depends from hostel to hostel. But the canteen is good. And you have access to all the sports facilities.

Faculty: All the faculty members are good and well-qualified. And they always respond to the query. And we have different exams throughout the semester, like quizzes, midterms, end terms, and final grading, which consists of all the marks. The difficulty level depends on the course instructor and the course.

Other: I get this course and college based on my rank in JEE Advance through JSA Counseling. There are technical fests ( Techniche ), sports fests (Spirit), and cultural fests (Alcheringa) in a year and some other fests like udgam, prayatna, and virasat are also held and conducted by student bodies. And so many engaging events like the scavenger hunt and other events happen in a year.

Placements: Around 80% of students got placed. The highest package offered was INR 50 LPA and the lowest package was INR 12 LPA. The average package was INR 18 LPA. The top role is of a software developer. Around 40% of the students got internships on campus and 20% off campus. Overall placement here is the best.

Infrastructure: Every classroom has Wi-Fi and is fully air conditioned. The labs are very good. They have a world-class library. Good medical facilities are also available. The food quality of the mess is average but breakfast is the best. Every hostel is well-equipped with basic facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly, professors are strict and the evaluation process is transparent. Overall teaching quality is good. Exams are a little bit difficult. The course is relevant to the industry and is also relevant for research. Professors are helpful regarding the research.
