IIT Patna: Cutoff 2026, Fees, Courses, Placement, Admission and Ranking

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Patna has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 14216. In 2022, it increased to 14895. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5243 to 5285 for OBC, 2861 to 2793 for SC, 2861 to 1336 for ST, 2046 to 2226 for EWS. Followed by this, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and Electrical and Electronics Engineering seems to be the most competitive branches at IIT Patna. Candidates need to apply online for JEE Main for BTech admission at IIT Patna. Students need to fill out the form for JEE (Main) through the website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls.

Candidates have to pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 75% aggregate to apply for JEE Main required for BTech admission at IIT Patna. There are 86 seats available in Computer Science and Engineering specialisation of BTech at IIT Patna. The seats in CSE are allotted via JoSAA Counselling based on JEE Advanced scores. IIT Patna reserves seats in VTechadmissions for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD categories as per the Government of India rules. OBC-NCL candidates need to produce the latest certificate and self-declaration statement to claim reservation.
