Placement in mechanical is very good.

Placements: NIT Patna is famous for its placement in the mechanical department. This year, in 2025, the placement percentage of the mechanical department is 102 percent. The highest offer is 12.5 LPA, while the average is about 7.5 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA in the mechanical department. Mostly companies related to core mechanical, like Renault, L&T, and Ambuja, participated in the placements. Many students got internships this summer in various PSUs like ONGC, NPTEL, and L&T, with about 50% of people securing internships.

Infrastructure: Various facilities are provided throughout the course, like a lab for each core subject with experienced professors. We do have a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and the speed is also good. The library is a peaceful and cozy place to study, while the classroom conditions are average, not as good. Hostel rooms are okayish but still not up to par, and the mess food is average. Medical facilities are available on campus, and we do have emergency vans. Various sports facilities are available here, and NIT Patna also participates in various inter-NIT competitions.

Faculty: All the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the professors are IITians. Some teachers are not as good at teaching, but some are very awesome. The course curriculum is still old school, but for the core part, it will make you industry-ready. Semester exams are easy; it will only take 1-2 weeks of study to pass the exams. The pass percentage was almost 96%.

Other: I like mechanical engineering because I enjoy understanding the mechanisms of any equipment. As of now, I don't want any improvement in my course. NIT Patna is located in the middle of town, so the surroundings are very good; everything is available. It is situated beside the Ganga Ghat, so we have a good place to chill in the evening. Various extracurricular activities are also provided through the course.

NIT Patna infrastructure and facilities review.

Placements: The placement cell in our institute is present in the main building. The main job of placement cell is to invite different companies from all over to come to campus and conduct interviews for students and hire them. There are startup-related ideas. The different companies that visit campus include Google, Tata, Reliance, Oracle, etc. The highest package offered is 81 LPA, and average is around 17 LPA. The lowest is 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. The size of campus is very vast. We have a central library where we can study, also there are many books you can access for 3 months. There are ACs and Wi-Fi facilities provided all over the campus. There is SAC (student activity center), where many seminars and related activities used to happen. In each of the core department, there is 1 auditorium. We have a sports complex where we can play almost all the games.

Faculty: There are about 35 faculty members associated with my course. They all possess a very good understanding of the subjects they teach. They all have done Ph.D. in the specific domain. Their method of teaching is also very good, and they are knowledgeable and skilled. They try to explain the topics with PPTs and projectors. They also try to inculcate discussion-related thinking among the students. The teacher-to-student ratio is also very good.

Placements: NIT Patna placements 2024 have been conducted. However, there are no official reports released for NIT Patna placements in 2024. Partial data for NIT Patna recruiters and packages 2024 is given in the articles. As per NIT Patna placement trends in 2023, there were more than 120 recruiters who participated in the placement drive & placed 609 students. NIT Patna's highest salary package stood at 52 LPA whereas the average salary package stood at 14 LPA. Some participating top recruiters included ONGC, Bharat Electronics, Google, etc.

Infrastructure: The campus has a residential complex with three boys' hostels, two girls' hostels, and a mess. Sports center is open to students and equipment for both indoor games like table tennis and outdoor games like football, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and badminton and an athletic track to maintain both physical and mental activity. NIT Patna provides students with well-maintained classrooms as well as course-based labs to provide proper theoretical and practical knowledge. Students are also given access to medical facilities with two permanent doctors who are always accessible to assist patients 24/7.

Faculty: The college faculty members are amazing and well-qualified. Most faculty members come under 2% of scientists all over the world. Akshay, Deepak, and Prabhat sir are the best faculty members. All faculty members are very helpful. Wwe can go to them anytime. Mid-semester and end-semester exams are conducted, and rarely students fail.

One of the best Tier 1 NITs.

Placements: Approximately 87% of students are placed in the year 2025. The highest package offered is 74.63 LPA, and the lowest is 9 LPA, with an average package of around 16–18 LPA. Companies like Google, Infosys, Microsoft, and Amazon visit regularly. Many roles are offered to students based on their skills.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is a large sports complex where you can play various outdoor games like cricket, football, basketball, and more. The computer labs are also well-equipped, although some labs have older computers, such as 7th generation models. The library is open 24/7 for boys and until 8:30 PM for girls. Hostel facilities are good, and the food is decent. There is a health center available for medical needs, and an ambulance can be called if a student is unable to walk.

Faculty: In the first year, some teachers are good while others are not as effective, which is common in most colleges. However, overall, the teachers are supportive, skilled, knowledgeable, and helpful. Regarding the course curriculum, it is good but not entirely industry-ready, so you need to develop skills on your own. Semester exams are easy, and it is relatively easy to score above an 8 CGPA. In the second semester, 63 out of 140 students scored more than 8 SGPA, indicating that academics are somewhat easy.

Placements: According to the placement cell, the overall placement percentage is 80%. The highest and average packages offered during the placement year 2024 were 48 LPA and 14 LPA, respectively. A total of 116 companies participated and 630 offers were made during NIT Patna placements 2023. The lowest package offered during NIT Patna placements 2024 was 7 LPA. The prime recruiting companies of NIT Patna placements in 2023 were Meta, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. Top recruiting companies are NTPC, BHEL, Samsung, and Havells. Data for internship percentage is not shared by the college.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Few hostels are overcrowded. Labs are good. Classes are pathetic with no facilities and in many classes. Most of the fans don't work. The library is very small but good. Fixed mess menu with no scope of change and there is no mess council or student council. Food is good in the mess. The canteen is also good but there is no night canteen. There is a doctor available 24/7 for your treatment free of charge. There is only one ground where we play cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, and a court.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but you won't understand anything. YouTube will be your only companion for 4 years. The curriculum is absolutely relevant and industry-oriented. Semester exams are doable if you work hard studying the topics. Otherwise, it might be tough.
