Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology offers entrance exam-based admission to all the UG, PG, and doctoral courses. Candidates, who have completed their last qualifying examination with a minimum eligibility aggregate set by the institute, can apply for admission. However, the final selection of candidates is based on entrance exam scores i.e., JEE Mains for BTech. Step -wise IIT JEE admission process is explained below: Application Process JEE Mains Form
Open the official website.
Click on the “JEE Main Registration” link.
Fill in the required details and click on the “Submit” button to complete the registration. After the completion of JEE Main registration process, candidates will receive an email and message in their registered email ID and mobile phone number with details of the application form number and password. Candidates will need to keep safe/save the details of registration.
After completion of registration, candidates will be redirected to the page for filling out the detailed application form. In this step, candidates have to provide details of educational qualifications, parents' details, address of communication and permanent address, and exam centre preference.
Upload scanned images of passport-size photographs and signature.
Pay the application fee.
The application form will be automatically submitted after successfully paying the application fees. Candidates need to download the filled application form and take its printout. It is advised that candidates keep safe the print copy of the application form until the completion of the admission process.
Selection/ Shortlisting of candidates
All the candidates seeking admission to all the courses is entrance exam-based. Scores of national/state-level exams like JEE Main, GATE, and UGC NET are considered for admission to various courses.
Payment of Admission Fee & Admission Confirmation
Candidates selected for various courses need to pay the course's admission fee to confirm their admission.
SVNIT Surat placement report 2025 has been released. As per the report, highest and median package recorded in 2025 was 74 LPA and 8.65 LPA. The average package was 11.24 LPA. A total of 205 companies visited the campus.
