NIFT 2025 Toppers - NTA declared the final result of NIFT 2025 on June 22, 2025. Along with the final result, NTA may release the NIFT 2025 toppers' list. The list of NIFT 2025 toppers will include the names of candidates who shall have scored he highest marks, their scores and merit ranks. We will update the topper details on this page as and when they are released. The NIFT 2025 written exam was conducted on February 9, 202,5 and the NIFT 2025 result of written exams (NIFT CAT and NIFT GAT) is expected to be declared by the second week of March 2025.

On the day of the NIFT written exam, the candidate must bring with them
- NIFT admit card
- A valid photo ID proof
- HB Pencils, Eraser, Sharpener, Dry Colours
Items which are not allowed inside the exam venue are Water bottle, Papers, Notes, Books, Calculator, Electronic gadgets, Mobile phone, Bag, Handbag, Correction marker/ white fluid.
During the Situation Test, the candidate will be provided with a set of materials. Using these materials, the candidate will be required to make specific models. In this test, candidates are required to create a 3D model based on the question asked for, which they are given 2 hours, within which they need to conceptualize and complete the model.
After completing the mode, the candidate will also have to draft a write-up, which is evaluated by the jury later. Note that besides material exploration & management skills, NIFT also lays great emphasis on time management skills and students are closely monitored on the fact that whether they have managed to complete the task at hand in two hours or not.

NIFT Final Result 2025 was declared on June 22, 2025. NIFT also declared the NIFT Statistics for the registered and appeared candidates. NIFT Scorecard and Rank was also out on June 22, 2025.

NIFT situation test will test candidate on Colour scheme, Space visualization, Construction skill, Finesse of the model, Composition of elements, Overall presentation, Innovative and creative use of given material, etc. Situation Test will be evaluated on the spot.
Model made by candidate will not be kept for future reference. Candidate must make sure that their model is unique and stands out from the crowd. After making model, candidate must write about the model- write-up explaining the model.
Candidates will be provided with the items for making the model during the NIFT Situation Test. Materials that students may be provided with are Glaze Papers, Plasticine Clay, Copper Wire, Ivory Sheets, Cardboard, Thermocol (thick And Thin), Kite Papers, Handmade Sheet, Coloured Clay, Cellophane, Fabric, Thread, Ribbon, Straw, Aluminum Foil, etc. The candidate can not use any other items except the ones provided in the exam hall.
NIFT Situation Test will be conducted in an offline mode at the various NIFT campuses. Considering there are 19 NIFTs, the candidate will be able to select any of these institutes to appear in the Situation Test. The window to select test centres for the Situation Test will be announced soon after the declaration of NIFT results for the written exam. Test centres for the Situation Test will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, candidates need to book their slots as soon as possible. Note that if seats in a particular centre (or institute) fill out, the candidate will not be able to be offered slots for that institute.

NIFT Cut-off 2025
The cut-off marks for NIFT 2025 will be known only after the exam results are declared. The NIFT scorecard will include the category-wise qualifying marks. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria in their respective categories will be invited for the next round of admission. Note that the admission cut-off is different and will be released at the time of NIFT 2025 seat allotment.
About NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam
The NIFT entrance exam is conducted in two stages:
- Written exams - GAT and CAT
- Situation Test/ Personal Interview.
Earlier, the NIFT entrance exam was conducted by the institute itself. However, in the past few years, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken up the responsibility of conducting the written tests. Note that the Situation Test/ PI will continue to be conducted by NIFT. Candidates need to qualify for the written exams to appear in this round.

After the release of the NIFT Stage 1 result, NTA will conduct NIFT stage 2 exam for candidates who have cleared the Stage 1 exam. NIFT Stage 2 will have Situation test and Personal Interview.

You will not be offered any direct admission to NIFT Delhi even if you are a class 12th topper. Candidates must fill the NIFT Entrance Application and appear for the exam. If they clear the cutoff, admission is offered.

NIFT and UCEED are equally tough. NIFT has more levels or stage where as UCEED has only one level. UCEED focuses more on Graphic design, Product Design, etc., whereas NIFT focuses on Fashion design, Textile design, etc. The difficulty level of the exam depends on the preparation of the candidates.

Yes, 40 is a good marks for NIFT B.Des 2026 this year (expected). For NIFT B.Des, General Category, 40 - 50 is the goodscore for the general category, for OBC, it will be around 30, for SC/ST, it will be around 30.

The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation early. NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, the exam will be very difficult. So, start early. The same goes for the GAT.
