4-Month NIFT Preparation Strategy
NIFT Entrance exam cannot be cleared in one month. It needs time and proper planning. In the first two months, candidates should focus on knowing the syllabus, clearing their fundamentals, knowing the sections, types of questions, etc. Once they are done with the fundamentals, they can study in depth and work on speed, solving question papers, giving mocks and error analysis in the third month and in the last month they can focus on revision and speed building.
NIFT Entrance exam consists of NIFT GAT and NIFT CAT. NIFT GAT has sections like Quantitative Ability, English & Communication, Analytical & Logical Reasoning and NIFT CAT has Sketching & Design-based questions.

I. NIFT First Month Strategy: Get Familiar with NIFT Pattern and Syllabus
In the first month, get familiar with the pattern, weightage, syllabus, and sections. For quantitative ability, take 1 chapter every day and solve it. Do not focus on speed, but on question type. By the end of this month, you should be able to touch every topic not the depth but the basics.

II. NIFT Second Month Strategy: Skill Building and Depth Knowledge
In the second month, try to convert your basic knowledge of each NIFT Section to in depth knowedge. Try solving difficult questions. Give more time to each section. Work on your speed and accuracy.

Commonly asked questions
Candidates can download the official sample papers from the official NIFT website. The sample papers are available in the form of PDFs.
Mock tests will include representative questions or questions similar to ones asked in NIFTEE. So, by taking mock tests, candidate will get to know about types of questions asked, marking scheme, weightage, etc. Another important benefit the candidate can draw from solving a sample paper is understanding the question paper layout. For instance, the candidate will know which questions are placed where, the sequence of questions, whether the candidate needs to complete one section before moving to the next, etc.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) publishes the sample papers of NIFT for all the courses offered at its 20 participating colleges. However, these official sample papers don't contain any solutions.
NIFT exam may have multiple question booklet series Booklet Series A, Booklet Series F, Booklet Series L, Booklet Series R, etc.
Candidate must download the answer keys corresponding to their own booklet series. booklet series contains the same questions, but the questions are arranged differently. So, unless the candidate downloads the answer keys corresponding to the relevant booklets series, the keys will not match. And if that happens, the candidate will not be able to accurately calculate the probable scores.

III. NIFT Third Month Strategy: PYQs, Sample Papers & Error Analysis
Now, once you have gained speed and accuracy, the next step is to solve question papers and take mock tests. Allot time and try to solve the paper in time. Find your errors and work on them.

IV. NIFT Fourth Month Strategy: Revision, Speed & Exam Readiness
This is the month of revision. Do not start anything new. Do 20-30 minutes of sketching to keep hand fluency sharp. Give 10 - 15 minutes for quick revision from your own notebook. Take any random sample paper for NIFT and then solve 15-20 questions daily.

Commonly asked questions
The exam analysis for NIFT 2027 written exam will be available soon after completion of CAT and GAT written exams. It will consist difficulty level, types of questions asked, marking scheme, and expected cut off. Also, the analysis will highlight any technical issues during NIFT.
