JoSAA Round 5 Cut off 2021: Opening & Closing Ranks

After the announcement of the JoSAA round 5 seat allotment result, the authority will release the cutoff marks in the form of opening and closing ranks. JoSAA Round 5 cutoff will be different for institutes as well as courses offered by them. Moreover, the opening and closing ranks for a particular programme at an institute vary as per the reservation categories. JoSAA cutoff decides the ranks from where the next round of counselling for a seat in an engineering college is likely to begin.

Steps to check JoSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment Result 2021

Students who participated in round 5 of JoSAA counselling can check the steps below to access their seat allotment letter

  • Visit the official JoSAA website
  • On the home page, click on the “JoSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment Result” Link.
  • Select the Seat allotment for IITs /NITs/IIITs/GFTIs or IIEST
  • Enter your JEE Main Application Number, password and security pin in appropriate fields
  • Click on login
  • JoSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment Result 2021 for the respective group will appear on the screen
  • Take the printout of the seat allocation letter for future reference

JoSAA 2021 round 4 seat allotment result was announced by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority on November 11.  Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) started the registration for the counselling on October 16, 2021. The last date for JoSAA registration and fill choices was October 25. Only the qualified candidates of JEE Main 2021 and JEE Advanced 2021 were eligible for JoSAA counselling registration and fill their choices of course and institute on the official portal.

No, JoSAA counselling is not required for the students who want to take admission on the basis of entrance in BTech at Army Institute of Technology, Pune. Only entrance scores are considered at the time of admission. Students need to submit JEE Mains scorecard at the time of admission.

Yes, students may get a seat in NIT Puducherry BTech with 92 percentile in JEE Main through JoSAA counselling. The cutoff is high for specialisations, such as CSE. The NIT Srinagar BTech seat allotment is first done through the JoSAA counseling. The allotment of seats is based on a candidate's JEE Mains score. However, if after the seat allotment, there are still some vacant seats for the BTech course, they are filled through the CSAB counseling.
