JoSAA 2020 IIIT cutoff: The round-1 cutoff for IIITs was released by the JoSAA on the official portal on October 17. In the article below, Candidates can check the JoSAA 2020 cutoff, opening and closing ranks after round-1 for the participating Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).
Candidates who have qualified JEE Main entrance exam and have successfully registered for the JoSAA 2020 counselling are eligible for the seat allotment in IIITs. Through the JoSAA counselling process, every year lakhs of JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified candidates are offered admission in various reputed engineering institutions in the country like the IITs, IIITs, IIITs and CFTIs/GFTIs. JEE Advanced qualified candidates are offered admission in the prestigious IITs whereas the JEE Main qualified candidates are offered a chance to get into the equally prestigious IIITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

What is JoSAA Opening Rank and Closing Rank?
JoSAA “Opening Rank” and “Closing Rank” can be confusing sometimes which is why these terms have been explained in a simplified manner:
JoSAA Opening Rank: The lowest rank eligible to secure admission in one of the JoSAA participating institutes.
JoSAA Closing Rank: The highest rank eligible to secure admission in one of the JoSAA participating institutes.
