Calculating MHT CET 2021 Result: Normalisation Process
The percentile score will be declared as the MHT CET 2021 result of a candidate. Authorities have devised a normalisation procedure for declaring the ranks of the candidates. The percentile score will range from 0 to 100. The topper of MHT CET 2021 will get 100 percentile. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores will also be converted to appropriate percentiles. The percentile scores of MHT CET candidates is calculated upto five decimal places. MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 * (Number of candidates in exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam.
MHT CET 2021 Result: Tie Breaking Process
There is a possibility that two or more candidates may score the same percentile score in MHT CET 2021. In such a condition, it will be difficult to decide their ranks. To avoid any such confusion, MHT CET authorities have pre-decided the process to be followed for breaking the tie. Given below is the process to be followed for dealing with a tie after MHT CET results:
- Candidate with higher marks or score in Mathematics will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher marks or score in Physics will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher marks or score in Chemistry will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher percentage of marks in Class 12 board or qualifying examination for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry taken together will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher percentage of marks in Mathematics in Class 12 board or qualifying examination will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher percentage of marks in Physics in Class 12 board or qualifying examination will be assigned higher rank
- If tie still exists, candidate with higher percentage of aggregate marks in Class 12 board or qualifying examination will be assigned higher rank
- If the tie still exists, candidates will be assigned same rank
