MHT CET 2026 Merit List OUT

MHT CET Merit List 2026: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has published the final MHT CET 2026 merit list, following a brief delay. Registered and verified candidates can now check their merit ranks for the MHT CAP 2026 process. The authorities will offer B.E/B.Tech admissions based on the final ranks obtained by them. The direct link to check the individual rank status is updated on this page. The authorities have categorised the MHT CET qualified candidates in a different list and the JEE Mains candidate's in the All India list.

The CET Cell first releases a provisional list followed by a final list. Students are allowed to object to the provisional MHT CET 2026 merit list online. The grievance window for provisional MHT CET merit list was available from July 23 to 25. After reviewing the grievances, the authority prepares and releases the final merit list. The final ranks will be used for the MHT CET counselling and admission process.

What is the MHT CET Merit List?

The MHT CET merit list is a rank list prepared by the Maharashtra CET Cell after verifying the documents submitted during CAP registration. It determines a candidate’s eligibility and order of preference during the counselling process. Only candidates whose applications are successfully verified are included in the merit list. The merit list serves as the basis for:

  • CAP Round 1, 2 and 3 seat allotment

  • Institute-level admissions

  • Category-wise and State-level rankings

  • Admission to participating engineering colleges

Types of MHT CET Merit List

The CET Cell releases two merit lists during the counselling process.

Provisional Merit List

The provisional merit list contains the initial ranks allotted to candidates after document verification. Candidates should carefully verify all the details mentioned in the list. If any information is incorrect, they can submit grievances within the specified deadline.

Final Merit List

After considering all valid objections and making necessary corrections, the CET Cell publishes the final merit list. The final merit list is used for seat allotment under CAP rounds and cannot be challenged further.

Q:   Is there passing marks in MHT CET 2027?

No. There is no minimum mark required to pass the MHT CET exam. The only requirement to get the scorecard is to appear in all subjects of MHT CET and obtain a non-zero score.

Q:   How can a candidate verify his/her marks in MHT CET?
A: 

For verifying marks, candidates are required to write an application to the Divisional authority. It must reach to the authority within four days of result declaration. Along with the application, a bank draft of Rs 1,000 in the name “Director of Education & Research Mumbai” must also be submitted.

MHT CET Merit List Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates secure the same score, the CET Cell follows a tie-breaking policy to prepare the merit list. The tie-breaking in MHT CET 2026 will apply as follows:

  • higher marks or score in Mathematics at CET;
  • higher marks or score in Physics at CET
  • higher marks or score in Chemistry at CET;
  • higher percentage of marks in Board or qualifying examination for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry taken together;
  • higher percentage of marks in the Mathematics at HSC or 10+2 Examination;
  • higher percentage of marks in the Physics at HSC or 10+2 Examination;
  • higher percentage of of marks in Aggregate at HSC or 10+2 Examination

What After the MHT CET Merit List?

Once the final merit list is released, the counselling process moves to the next stages.

Candidates will have to:

  • Fill and confirm their preferred college and course choices.

  • Participate in CAP Round 1 seat allotment.

  • Check the allotted institute.

  • Accept the allotted seat if satisfied.

  • Report to the allotted institute within the prescribed deadline.

  • Participate in subsequent CAP rounds if they wish to seek a better option or are not allotted a seat.

Sorry, but according to me with 96.09 percentile in MHT-CET through PCB, you cannot get admission to ICT for B.Tech Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology. The cuttoff competitively closes around 99.0 to 99.9 percentile.
