Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can check the previous year GATE cutoff for various papers on the Shiksha page or from the GATE official website.
A candidate can choose at least three exam cities while filling the GATE application form. The conducting authorities will conduct the GATE exam at around 200 exam centres from the issued list of GATE exam centres. Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. Application Form of NHPC Recruitment through GATE
To participate in the examination, candidates must fill the application form with the correct details. The application form for NHPC recruitment releases in online mode at the website www.nhpcindia.com. However, the link to fill the NHPC GATE recruitment application form will also be updated on this page. As the application form releases online hence there is no need to send the filled-in form either through post or through fax. - After completing all the formalities, click on the submit button for the final submission of the application form.
