Eligibility Criteria for MECL GATE Recruitment 2025

The concerned authority will accept the application forms of only eligible candidates. So, it is advised to refer to the official notification in detail before proceeding with the application form. Check an overview of the eligibility criteria below.

Q:   Which institute will conduct GATE 2025?
A:

IIT Roorkee is conducting the GATE 2025 exam. The exam has been started. GATE 2025 exam dates are Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. GATE is organised by 8 institutes including 7 IITs and IISc Bengaluru. 

Q:   How to calculate GATE 2025 Score?
A:

The exam authority will calculate the GATE score by considering the raw marks secured by candidates in the GATE 2025 result. The raw marks, or actual marks, will be allotted to the candidates after evaluating the answers. The GATE score for the multi-session exam will be calculated by converting the raw marks into the normalised marks for that particular subject. The raw marks will be used for calculating the GATE score based on the qualifying marks. The scorecard will be available to qualified candidates only. Candidates should keep the soft copy of the GATE scorecard safe for future use. To check the GATE 2025 result, candidates need their enrollment ID/email ID, and password. Q:   When will GATE 2025 exam be conducted?
A:

IIT Roorkee has released GATE 2025 exam dates on its official website. The GATE 2025 exam was conducted on 1,2,15 and 16 February 2025. GATE 2025 exam was conducted in multiple days and multiple shifts for all 30 papers. The GATE paper timings was Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). 

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should have completed BE/BTech in the concerned stream from a University recognized by AICTE/Government of India/UGC.
  • Candidates should have qualified GATE and must possess a valid GATE scorecard.
  • The maximum age of the candidate must be 28 years. However, relaxation is applicable for SC/ST and other reserved categories.

Step 1. Registration

  • Visit the official website or click on the link, which will be available on this page later.
  • Then the registration page will open in a new tab. On the registration page, enter e-mail ID and mobile number.
  • After registration, the login details will be shared on the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.

Step 2. Fill Application Form

  • Login into the online recruitment portal and then click on the “Apply for a Post”.
  • Then fill the personal details such as name, parents’ name, date of birth, and others.
  • Fill academic details such as the details of Class 10, Class 12, BE/BTech, GATE scorecard details, etc.
  • Mention the caste category (Gen/OBC/SC/ST).

Step 3. Fee Payment

After filling the details, candidates have to pay the application fee. The application fee can be paid through bank challan by visiting Punjab National Bank or State Bank of India. The application fee details of MECL recruitment through GATE 2020 will be updated later.

Step 4. Upload Photo & Signature

Candidates have to upload their photo and signature in the application form of MECL GATE 2025 recruitment. Make sure that the photo and signature should be in the prescribed format. Candidates’ photo should be recent passport size color picture. Signature has to be done by the applicant on white paper with Black Ink pen. Q:   How many new exam cities have been added to the GATE 2025 exam centers?
A:

This year, 11 new cities have been included in the GATE exam centers. Candidates had the facility to opt for the exam center at the time of GATE registration. The GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 in two sessions - Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Candidates appearing for the exam can find the allotted GATE exam center in the admit card. To download the GATE 2025 hall ticket, candidates must provide their enrollment ID and password.

Candidates must carry the following documents to the GATE 2025 exam centre -

No it is not all mandatory to take a joint M.Sc PhD after qualifying for IIT JAM. Although many students choose this, you can just apply for M.Sc now and if you feel apply for PhD later.
