There are two shift timings for the GATE exam. Candidates can find the details of the shift timing on the official website. The GATE shift timings are as follows -
- Forenoon - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Candidates can also find the exam timing details mentioned in the GATE admit card. Candidates are advised to appear for the GATE 2026 exam on the date prescribed in the hall ticket.
IIT Guwahati conducted GATE 2026 exam on Feb 7 and 8 in two shifts. Then on Feb 14 and 15 in two shifts. The exam timings are - forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Branch-wise exam dates has been released on official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
MECL GATE Recruitment 2025 Eligibility
Authorities will release the MECL GATE recruitment application form on its official website - mecl.co.in. Only candidates meeting eligibility can apply for MECL. It is advised to go through official notification before applying. Candidates can check MECL GATE 2025 eligibility below -
- Applicants must be Indian nationals
- Must have completed BE/BTech from a recognised university.
- Must have a valid GATE scorecard.
- Maximum age of applicant must be 28 years. However, relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates and other reserved categories.
How to Apply for MCEL Recruitment through GATE 2025?
MECL GATE recruitment application form will be made available online at mecl.co.in. Candidates can find link velow. It is advised to keep all documents and information ready before applying.
Registration:
- Visit MECL GATE website and click on application form link. Click on "new registration" and enter required credentials.
- Once registration is complete, candidates will receive login details on their registered email ID and mobile number.
Filling Information:
- Login using credentials and click on "Apply for a Post"
- Fill personal and academic details
- Candidates also have to provide their GATE exam information
- Mention caste category (Gen/OBC/SC/ST)
Fee Payment:
After entering all details, candidates must proceed to pay MECL GAT recruitment fees. Accepted payment mode include - bank challa by Punjab National Bank or State Bank of India. Fee details will be updated here.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The dates are OUT now. IIT Guwahati last conducted the GATE exam in 2018.
