BITSAT 2026 exam pattern will be available soon. Candidates can check details about how the entrance exam will be conducted through BITSAT exam pattern. During preparation, students have to know how exam will be conducted so that they are prepared to do well. BITSAT 2026 will be held as an online test. Q:   How many sessions are held for BITSAT?

BITSAT is held annually in two sessions. The first session is held tentatively in May and the second session in June 2026. Students can attempt one or both sessions of BITSAT to be eligible for admission. If both sessions are attempted, then the best score will be considered.

Q:   How many questions will be present in the BITSAT paper?
A: 

In BITSAT, students have to answer 130 objective questions. Each question will have four options. Correct one has to be selected. If all questions are finished before time, then additional 12 questions will be given to students to solve for extra marks.

Q:   What is the division of questions in BITSAT pattern?
A: 

The BITSAT question paper is divided into four section. For the Mathematics/Biology section, there will be 40 questions. Physics and Chemistry will have 30 questions in each section. Logical Reasoning will have 20 and English Proficiency will have 10 questions. There will 130 questions in the question paper.

Highlights of BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern

The total duration of the BITSAT 2026 paper will be 3 hours. BITSAT 2026 will be held as a computer-based test. The paper will consist of multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four options, and only one answer will be correct. Students will be able to change their answers to a question at any given point. Incorrect answers will be negatively marked. There will be no time limit on when a student will have to complete each section of the exam. Questions in the BITSAT paper will be selected randomly from a large question bank, so each candidate receives a different set of questions. Candidates who complete 130 questions in the 3-hour duration will get a chance to solve 12 extra questions. On completion of the exam, the candidates will be provided with their BITSAT score immediately.

12 Additional Questions in BITSAT 2026 Question Paper

12 additional questions are given to the students who complete the examination before time. For the additional questions, the students will not be given any extra time. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning sections. Once students start the additional questions, they cannot edit their previous answers.

BITSAT 2026 Syllabus

BITSAT 2026 syllabus will be released online. Candidates are also advised to check the syllabus while preparing for the upcoming entrance examination. Through the syllabus, the candidates will be able to understand which subjects, units and topics have to be studied. BITSAT syllabus will consist of topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Logical Reasoning, similar to the level of 11th and 12th standard qualifying entrance exam. Knowing the syllabus will allow the candidates to know how to prepare for the examination.

The official date for the BITSAT direct admission registration will be announced soon. Board toppers who meet the basic eligibility criteria can register for the direct admissions. No BITSAT score will be needed by the board toppers to secure a seat in the BITS campuses.

Yes, the students will be able to pay the BITSAT counselling fee offline. To make the offline payment, the students will have to pay through cash at any ICICI bank branch, along with a generated pay-in slip. Online payment methods are also available.

Students will have to pay BITSAT counselling fee. To be registered for counselling, a fee of INR 1000 has to be paid. If students fail to pay fee before final date, then they will not be considered for admission.
