CTET Notification 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education released the CTET Notification 2026 on November 27 at ctet.nic.in. It was released as Information Bulletin. The CTET application form link was also activated along with the notification. The application dates were November 27 to December 18. The CBSE CTET exam for the 21st Edition will be conducted on February 8 at several centres across the country in two shifts.

The notification PDF consists of the information of the exam including the application process, languages, eligibility, important dates, pattern, syllabus, examination cities, etc. The CTET exam is conducted by the CBSE twice annually. CTET Syllabus 2026

The CTET eligibility criteria differ for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Some of the basic requirements to fulfil CTET eligibility criteria for Paper 1 is passing 12 examinations with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks and Paper 2 is completing graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks. Candidates should go through the detailed eligibility criteria before filling out the CTET application form.

The last date to apply online for CTET 2026 was December 18. Candidates need to submit their applications before the CTET last date of online application process.  

Q:   What are the qualifying marks for CTET exam?
A: 

The CTET qualifying marks are different for different categories. General category candidates need to obtain a minimum of 60 per cent or above marks in the CTET 2025 exam in order to be considered as a CTET pass. The CTET passing marks for OBC/SC/ST category candidates are 55 per cent. Candidates scoring more than or equal to the qualifying marks are considered CTET qualified. Only those candidates are awarded the CTET Certificate those who secure the minimum qualifying marks. However, a higher CTET score is advantageous in the further teacher recruitment process.

Q:   Will CTET be conducted online or offline?
A: 

The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted offline. In 2021 and 2022, the exam was held online wherein candidates were required to mark their answers on the computer. Until 2020, the it was held offline.  However, the exam was organised offline again in 2023 and 2024.

A: 

You can get the CTET old marksheet or duplicate CTET marksheet and certificate by visiting the official website of the exam. Follow the steps given below to get the previous years marksheets or certificates:

  • Visit the official website - ctet.nic.in.
  • Go to the 'Duplicate Marksheet & Certificate' link under e-Services.
  • Click on the link given under '2011 to 2016' or '2018 & onwards'.
  • Login using the registered mobile or Aadhaar number.

According to the NCTE notification, candidates require 60% or more to pass the CTET examination. The minimum marks required by a candidate being a General category to qualify the CTET exam is 90 out of 150 and for SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 82 out of 150.
