NSO 2025 Registration, Application Form: Know How to Apply Online

Students studying in class 1 to 12 can apply for SOF NSO. The prospectus with registration forms is sent to registered/participating schools. Schools that are not registered can also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@sofworld.org

The duly filled registrations forms need to be sent to SOF before the last date. SOF will dispatch question papers and guidelines for conducting the SOF NSO exam. Any school can be registered as a center for SOF NSO. There is no fee needed from the school to become a registered exam centre. A minimum of 10 students needs to be registered from each school for SOF NSO. Students can check SOF NSO 2025 registration last date on official website. NSO Level 1 Result 2025 will be released in Janury 2026.

Each participating student of registered schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, except a student suffering from any major physical disability or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defence operations, are required to pay a charge of Rs 125 (including 18% GST) towards the cost of the examination.

However, an additional charge of Rs 25 may be charged by the schools towards honorarium of in-charge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses.

Understand NSO pattern: Students should check the official NSO website to know the exam pattern for the corresponding class. The NSO exam broadly comprises 50 questions which are to be completed in one hour. There is no negative marking in the examination. The questions are divided into three sections- Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning, Science, and High order thinking questions.

Practice Sample papers
Emphasising on this point wouldn’t be enough for any exam. Sample paper solving is a must for every student as the NSO Sample papers would help them in understanding the pattern of NSO better and students would also be able to assess their performance.

Know the relevant books
Students should find the relevant books avalable in the market and buy them to prepare for the NSO exam.

The school's coordinating teacher is required to fill the School Registration Form (SRF) along with the Students' Registration  Sheet (SRS) as per the guidelines given to them. A copy of this needs to be sent to the SOF office before the due date. Thereafter, the SOF will register the applicant school and the students. It will then generate roll numbers for all students as per the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS).

As per the information on the official website of NSO, Principals/teachers may note that any school can be registered as a centre for SOF NSO. No fee is required from the institution to become a registered examination centre
