The AILET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 14, 2025. On the exam day, candidates will have to follow all the exam day guidelines as enlisted here.

The National Law University (NLU) Delhi will conduct the AILET 2026 on December 14, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The exam will be held for admission to the 5-year BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programs. On the exam day, candidates will be required to adhere to the guidelines issued by NLU Delhi exam officials. These include reporting to the exam center on time, carrying all essential documents, and refraining from any unfair means during the exam. The AILET 2026 Admit Card will be released by NLU Delhi to the registered candidates.

Candidates are not allowed to carry following items to AILET 2026 Examination hall:

  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators etc.
  • Handwritten notes
  • Manuals and digests
  • Any other form of study material

A:

NLU Delhi will conduct AILET 2026 on December 14, 2025. The exam date of AILET 2026 has been confirmed in press release, and the admission notification for more details has been published on the official website - nludelhi.ac.in. 

Q:   What are the important dates related to AILET exam?
A:

NLU Delhi will commence the AILET 2026 application from August 07, 2025. AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on December 14, 2025 in online mode. Once, the exam will be concluded, the authorities will release the AILET exam result along with the merit lists.

AILET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the exam must carefully read the instructions mentioned on the admit card. Some important exam day guidelines are as follows:  

  • Candidates must report to their allotted test center at least an hour before the exam starts, i.e., by 1 PM, to allow sufficient time for verification by the exam center officials.  
  • Candidates should bring at least one valid photo ID proof, along with their admit card. Accepted ID proofs include a PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Ration Card, or Passport (in original and with a photocopy).  
  • Candidates should carry their own pens (at least two) and one HB pencil for filling out the OMR answer sheet. The pens should be ballpoint, and the ink must be either black or blue.  
  • Candidates must avoid bringing any study materials or items like calculators, mobile phones, digital watches, iPads, or jewelry to the exam center.  
  • Adhering to these instructions is essential to ensure a smooth examination process.

NLU Delhi has instructed candidates to carry the following list of items on the day of the All India Law Entrance Test 2026:

Candidates can check the AILET merit list by following the below steps:

Step 1: Visit NLU Delhi official website

Step 2: Navigate to 'Notifications' section

Step 3: Click on 'AILET 2025 Merit List' link

Step 4: View and download the AILET merit list 2025

Candidates must note that they can appear for AILET Counselling 2025 only if there name is included in the merit list. Candidates must appear for the counselling to get admission to the NLU Delhi.

AILET 2026: How to mark OMR Response Sheet and Answer Booklet?

NLU Delhi has given the following guidelines for marking the OMR response sheet,

  • The candidate shall not open the plastic-sealed envelope containing the Question Booklet and OMR Response Sheet before 2:00 PM.
  • Use only Blue / Black Ball Point Pen for writing the Roll No. details on OMR Response Sheet and for shading the circles. The candidates are required to put his/her signature and fill all the details such as Roll number, question paper booklet number on the space provided on the OMR Response Sheet.
  • Test Paper is of 150 marks containing 150 Multiple Choice Questions, which will be in English.
  • The candidate is required to select the most appropriate answer to each question. The answer circle should beshaded completely without leaving any space. Incomplete circles will not be evaluated.
  • Indicate only one answer by shading from the options provided. More than one response to a question shall be counted 'wrong'.
  • As per the AILET Entrance Test pattern, every correct answer will be given 1 mark and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • The candidate must handle the OMR Response Sheet with care and must not fold, wrinkle, tear or staple it.
  • The OMR Response Sheet is carbonized. The candidates shall return the original OMR Response Sheet to the
