How to Prepare for AILET in 15 Days?
To prepare for AILET 2026 in 15 days, candidates can use the following tips:
- Focus on practisig questions related to sections that carry the majority of the weight in the AILET question paper. These sections are Current Affairs and Logical Reasoning. The weight of the Current Affairs section in the exam is 30. However, the Logical Reasoning section carries a weight equal to the marks.
- Take AILET mock tests. This strategy will allow you to increase efficiency and accuracy in solving the exam question paper.
- Solve previous years' question papers. This will allow you to practice questions that may be repeated in the current year's question paper.
- Do not try to learn new topics and concepts related to the exam syllabus. This will make you confused. Strengthen the knowledge of the topics that you have already prepared for the exam.
AILET 2026 Last Minute Preparation Tips
Some tips to keep in mind before appearing for AILET 2026 are as mentioned below:
Formulate Time Strategy: The AILET exam pattern is such that the paper is divided into three sections - General Knowledge, English, and Logical Reasoning. Here, candidates need to answer 150 questions in 90 90-minute duration. Thus, it is advisable to fix a time duration within which the candidate should complete one question/section of the exam.

Experts share that Reading Comprehension passages in the AILET exam are usually very long and a bit difficult to comprehend. Therefore, it is advisable that aspirants keep aside more time to solve this section of the exam. Apart from this, aspirants should fix a considerable chunk of their time to solve questions in Logical Reasoning section of the exam as well.
Candidates are not allowed to carry following items to AILET 2026 Examination hall:
- Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators etc.
- Handwritten notes
- Manuals and digests
- Any other form of study material

Aspirants should keep some time at the end of the exam to revise/solve any unattempted questions. The ideal time one should spend on solving questions in different sections of the AILET exam is mentioned in the table below:

Revise Important Topics: Aspirants are advised to go through questions related to Grammar, Critical Reasoning as well as GK/Current Affairs. These are the sections that are known to make all the difference while aspirants are appearing for AILET 2026.
Solve AILET Sample Questions: Like any other entrance exam, aspirants should try to solve as many AILET sample papers and previous years’ question papers. Also, while solving these test papers, aspirants are advised to time themselves. Such practice will help them develop a better understanding of how much time they need to keep aside for attempting questions in different sections on AILET exam day.
The methodology followed to determine the merit rank if two or more candidates score the same marks in AILET is explained below.
BA LLB program
- If two or more candidates get the same marks, their merit will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the logical reasoning section.
- If the tie persists, then the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
- If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then the merit rank will be decided by the computerized draw of lots.
LLM program

NLU Delhi will commence the AILET 2026 application from August 07, 2025. AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on December 14, 2025 in online mode. Once, the exam will be concluded, the authorities will release the AILET exam result along with the merit lists.
If you have lost or forgotten the password for your AILET account, you need to visit the AILET official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Then, you need to click on the "Forgot Password?" option.
In the next step, you need to enter or confirm the email address that you used for the AILET registration. A "Reset Password" option will pop-up on the screen. Click on this option. A link to reset the new password will be sent to your registered email address. By clicking on the link and creating a new password, you will be able to generate your new AILET account password.
Know Marking Scheme for Exam: There is negative marking in AILET 2026.
- For every correct answer candidates will be awarded one mark.
- For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted from the total score.
- No marks to be awarded or deducted for questions left unanswered.

AILET 2026: Important Exam Day Documents
Important documents without which aspirants will not be able to appear for AILET 2026 are mentioned below:
Admit Card: All aspirants need to ensure that they take a clear print-out of their AILET 2026 admit card from the official website and carry the same to their respective exam centres. Any candidate who is not carrying his/her AILET admit card to the test centre will not be allowed to take the exam.
If an aspirant’s face is not clearly visible on the AILET admit card, the University has the right to bar the candidate from sitting for the law entrance exam.
ID Proof: Candidates are advised to carry any valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. This can prove helpful if the invigilator wants to verify the identity of the aspirants. Some Photo IDs that candidates can carry to their exam centre are:
- Aadhar Card
- Voter’s ID Card
- Passport
- Driving License
Stationery: Aspirants are advised to carry a blue or black ball point pen to their AILET exam centre. Apart from this, candidates will not be allowed to carry any other stationery items (like, calculator, scales etc.) inside the exam hall.
Candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phone, log tables, textual material, electronic watches and the likes, inside the AILET exam hall.
Note: Aspirants who have applied for AILET exam under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category should carry a copy of Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority, at the examination centre on the day of exam.
