How to prepare for GK & Current Affairs Section of AILET 2027

- If you maintain a record of all the important events, both of national and international importance, it will be easier for you to do quick revisions. Also, this way you will be more engaged and so will be better placed to understand why something has happened and why something didn’t.
- While reading, make it a habit to note down important dates, awards, events, terminologies, etc. This will aid in last-minute preparation.

Candidates must note that the AILET LLM 2027 Exam pattern was changed last year. The main subjects of AILET LLM 2027 question paper will be as under: Different branches of law (Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour & Industrial Law).
The AILET 2027 LLM syllabus will have 100 MCQ questions pertaining to different areas of law. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt.

Candidates must note that the AILET Exam 2027 has negative marking too. In the last year's AILET question paper for UG course, GK questions were prominently related to static GK. The number of current affairs-related questions was lower. Questions were mainly related to law field and Economics. These questions were related to topics, such as Supreme Court of India, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
A large number of questions in the section were based on topics related to international relations, such as international alliances, agreements and G20 Summit.
Other main topics covered in the GK section of the previous year's AILET question paper were awards, sports, geography of India and books and authors.

Follow the Official AILET 2027 Syllabus And Exam Pattern
Candidates should only follow the official AILET syllabus. Also, follow the current syllabus only. The AILET 2027 question paper will include questions from the following three sections as per the AILET exam pattern.
- English Language - 50
- Current Affairs & General Knowledge - 30
- Logical Reasoning - 70
There will be no questions from Mathematics and Legal Aptitude for the UG exam. Meanwhile, question paper will include a total of 150 objective-type questions. Candidates must make sure that they are familiar with the exam pattern and align their preparation accordingly.

How To Attempt AILET 2027 Question Paper
The AILET 2027 question paper will be of an objective type. The right way to attempt the question paper is explained below.
- Time management - The UG question paper will include 150 questions, but you only have 120 minutes to attempt these questions. So, time is of essence. If you don’t know the answer to a question, don’t hover around and get into deep thought. Rather, move on and attempt the next question. If there is time left after you answered all sure-shot questions, you can come back to the questions you left out in the first instance.
- Beware of negative marking - For every wrong answer, you will be penalised 0.25 marks. So, make guesswork at your own risk. The point is if you make 3-4 wrong attempts, you will be penalised a full 1 mark. Now it may seem small, but given competition, that 1 mark may hammer your rankings badly. The only situation where guesswork makes sense is if you have nothing to lose, like when you simply are unable to attempt any or a majority of questions.
- Read the questions carefully - Many times, mistakes happen because you are too careless when reading a question. So, be switched on!
- Reach the exam center on time to avoid unnecessary anxiety.
- Don’t forget to carry the AILET admit card and photo ID proof.
Candidates should revise their notes every week. This keeps information fresh in memory. Regular revision leads to better scores.
