AILET PG Exam 2026: The National Law University, Delhi, conducted the AILET PG Exam 2026 on December 14, Today, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam was held at designated AILET Test Centres across India in pen-and-paper mode. The AILET PG exam analysis has been released here. Shiksha has covered the exam and gathered student reactions.

To crack the AILET exam, candidates must target to achieve rank between 50-60, which means score above 75 will help you land at the NLU Delhi. Candidates must go through the AILET exam pattern, syllabus, and previous year questions to prepare for the exam effectively. The previous year questions will help candidates to get an idea about the kind of questions asked in the exam. 

Q:   Which subject has the maximum weightage in the AILET exam?
A: 

The Logical reasoning section carries the maximum weightage; i.e. 50 per cent in the AILET exam. Reasoning is actually a combination of both verbal logic, as well as analytical reasoning. So, one part is full of numbers and data, while the other is made of words and puzzles. Reasoning needs ample practice. Books by MK Pandey and RS Aggarwal will suffice. For Data Interpretation (DI) questions, the trick lies in forming the table. Once this is done, the rest of the questions flow automatically. Hence, the students are advised to prepare this subject carefully and give special attention.

Many students feel the AILET exam is a bit tougher than CLAT because it has fewer seats and high competition. The AILET syllabus focuses more on reasoning and legal aptitude. Both tests need good preparation, but AILET 2027 usually has a higher cutoff for AILET colleges under NLU Delhi.

Yes, the AILET exam is held only for admission to NLU Delhi. The AILET full form is All India Law Entrance Test, and it's not used by other NLUs. If you want to study law at AILET colleges, you must apply through AILET registration and check the AILET eligibility before applying.
