Q:   Will CLAT be held twice in 2026?
A:

In 2022, CLAT exam was held twice, I. e. on June 19 as CLAT 2022, and on December 18, 2022 as CLAT 2023. However, from 2024 onwards, CLAT exam is to be conducted once in a year only, as confirmed by the exam officials in the latest notification. Earlier, CLAT exam was conducted in May or June, but from 2024 onwards the entrance exam will be conducted in December (of preceding year to the admission year) itself for concluding admissions on time. Therefore, CLAT counselling process will be completed by May of each academic year.

Q:   When will the CLAT 2026 exam be held?
A:

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the CLAT 2026 on December 7, 2025 tentatively. The exam authority will first publish the admission notification for CLAT 2026 with details of syllabus, exam pattern and events on the official website. 

Q:   How to Check CLAT Merit List 2025?
A:

Candidates can check the NLU-wise CLAT merit list by following the below steps:

Step 1: Visit CLAT official website

Step 2: Navigate to ‘Notifications’ section

Step 3: Click on ‘CLAT 2025 Allotment List’ link

Step 4: View and download the CLAT allotment list 2025

Candidates must note that they can appear for CLAT Counselling 2025 only if there name is there in the merit list. CLAT counselling will be conducted in online mode. Candidates must appear for the counselling to get admission to one of the NLUs in the country.

CLAT 2026 Rank Predictor: How to register?

Candidates will have to first register themselves on Shiksha.com to access the CLAT 2026 Rank Predictor tool. It must be noted that the CLAT Rank predicted by the shiksha.com CLAT Rank 2026 tool is not final. The final and foremost decision is of the Consortium of NLUs. It must be noted that the CLAT Scorecard is considered at various NLUs across the country. Based on the total number of students who appeared for the CLAT 2026 Exam, CLAT Rank Predictor 2026 will release the result.

Deciding factor for CLAT 2026 Rank Prediction

Both CLAT rank and marks are the deciding factors for the merit list, as the exam authority allots ranks based on marks obtained by candidates. Further, the qualified candidates are segregated based on category (including horizontal reservations) for all NLUs. Apart from this, the factors that determine CLAT 2026 Ranks are:

Q:   When should I reach the exam centre of CLAT 2026?
A:

All candidates had to report at the allotted CLAT exam centre at least 1 hour before the commencement of the exam I. e. 1:00 PM. It may be noted that no candidate were allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the exam. Therefore, candidates were asked to reach the exam centre of CLAT on the exam day at least an hour before the exam timings for checking of documents and seating formalities. For this, candidates were asked to estimate the time required to reach the allotted test centre beforehand. They could either use Maps or visit the test centre a days in advance if it is in their the nearest city. If they had to travel to another location from their current location, such as to Delhi from Agra, then they were suggested to look for the nearest accommodation beforehand instead of starting their journey on the exam day. If they plan to start their journey on the exam day, then they were suggested to keep at least 2-3 hours for any exigency or traffic related delays. Q:   Will CLAT be conducted in regional languages?
A:

CLAT 2026 is expected to be held in regional language. The Bar Council of India is planning to include vernacular languages as medium of paper in the coming years. Till CLAT exam 2024, it was held in the English language only like in previous years. CLAT 2025 PG Exam is also expected to be conducted in English only.

Q:   What to do if I forget the password for CLAT Login?
A:
In case you forget the password for CLAT login, then you can recover it easily by clicking on 'Forgot Password' link at the bottom of the login window. For recovering the password or resetting the login account, the exam authority will ask your registered mobile number and email ID, and send an OTP on it. You need to enter this OTP to recover the account by clicking on 'Reset Account' button, and then create a new password for CLAT application login.
Q:   What are the exam timings for CLAT 2026?
A:

CLAT 2026 exam timings was confirmed in admission notification. The CLAT exam was held from 2 pm to 4 pm. The duration of CLAT exam was two hours, and therefore, the exam authority scheduled exam on the same day for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. On the day of examination, candidates had to report at least an hour before the exam timings, so as to complete frisking and check seating plan at the test centre. Q:   Where can I get the CLAT 2025 invite list?
A:

Only those aspirants who have been included in the CLAT 2026 invite list will be allowed to appear for CLAT 2026 Counselling. The counselling procedure of CLAT 2026 will be conducted through an online centralised system. The counselling is conducted separetly for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The entire process is conducted as per the CLAT 2026 counselling dates that is released by consortium. After every round, the consortium will announce the seat allotment for national law universities (NLUs) that are pariticipating in the admission process.

Yes, RNB Global University accepts CLAT scores for BA LLB programme. Along with CLAT, it also accepts LSAT scores which refers to Law School Admission Test. If the candidate has not appeared for either of these, then it is mandatory to appear for RNBGUAPT. BA LLB is for a five-year duration.
