TS LAWCET 2026 Preparation Strategy-Weekly Plan

With only 60 days left for the TS LAWCET 2026 exam, you should start planning smart and studying in the right way. There is no negative marking, so you must try to attempt all the questions in the paper. The legal aptitude part has 60 marks, so you need to give more time and focus on that section. Looking at the TS LAWCET previous year cut off, you should score at least 45 marks out of 120 to stay safe. But if you aim for around 75 to 80 marks, your chance of getting a good rank becomes much higher. Keep your preparation steady and use TS LAWCET preparation books and study material to cover all topics fast.

Week 1: Plan, Organize & Study core areas of GK & Mental Ability

Start by getting familiar to the exam pattern, weightage and syllabus of the exam. Follow the suggestions given below for an organized plan:

  • Divide your weeks ahead to each section.

Legal reasoning section includes the three main topics listed below:

  2. Problem-solving: You use your legal knowledge and thinking to fix or answer made-up legal problems. It’s about using what you know from law to handle different kinds of legal situations smartly.

  3. Legal research: You learn how to find and use legal materials like laws, case judgments, and legal dictionaries. It helps you understand the law better and support your answers with the right legal sources.

Along with thorough understanding of legal aptitude section, do revise the previous week’s topics.

Week 4: In-depth Study of GK and Mental Ability

After dedicating a complete week to each section, candidates can now allot coming three weeks for in-depth study of the topics along with solving the questions from previous years in order to get the idea on question types. You can start by solving 30-40 question per day.

Week 5: In-depth Study of Current Affairs

Week 6: In-depth Study of Legal Aptitude
