The TG LAWCET marks are the scores secured by the candidates in their exam; however, the TS LAWCET rank is allotted based on the candidates’ scores and performance in the exam. The final merit list of TS LAWCET is created based on the ranks of the candidates.

Q:   Where can I find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks?

The official TS LAWCET cutoff marks will not be available on a single webpage.  This is because the cutoffs are determined for each counselling round and for each participating college and course. Thus, each college participating in TS LAWCET will release the cutoff marks on its official webiste.

However, you can find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after they declare the results  at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The cutoffs are generally released separately for each round of counselling.

TG LAWCET Qualifying Marks 2026

To pass the TS LAWCET exam, candidates are required to secure minimum qualifying marks in the exam. The TG LAWCET passing marks are different for each category.

For a general category candidate, the minimum marks should be 42 out of 120 marks. Whereas, for SC/ST category candidates, there is no minimum mark required. Check the table below to know more.

TS LAWCET Tie-Breaking Method

The TGCHE will use a tie-breaking method if two or more candidates have a tie in TG LAWCET ranks. 

  • The candidate with a higher score in the Aptitude for the Study of Law section will be given preference
  • If the tie persists, candidates with the highest scores in the Current Affairs section will be given preference
  • If the tie still persists, then the candidate older in age will be given preference.
