CMAT Merit List 2019 – National Testing Agency (NTA) has released CMAT 2019 merit list/rank list on February 6, 2019. CMAT merit list is available on the official website of NTA in PDF format. CMAT 2019 merit list displays the roll number, rank and the marks obtained by candidates. As per the merit list, Navanshu Surendra Sharma has secured AIR 1. He is followed by Kshitij Madan who has secured AIR 2 and Bhargav Ashok Kumar Desai topped the exam by bagging AIR 3. The merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates in CMAT 2019, the exam of which was conducted on January 28 and 29 (Shrinagar region), 2019. CMAT result 2019 has been announced on February 6, 2019. CMAT 2019 score is valid for admission for the academic year 2019-20. Out of total 64582 registered candidates, 54516 had appeared for the exam. How is CMAT Merit List 2019 Calculated?

CMAT merit list has been calculated based on the total score. The scores are determined in the following way.
- For correct answer, candidates scored 4 marks.
- For incorrect answer, -1 mark was deducted.
- No mark was assigned for unattempted question.
- Total marks have been calculated out of 400 marks.
The raw marks obtained by candidates have been considered for calculation of CMAT result.
CMAT Merit List 2019 – Calculation of Percentile
NTA score (percentile) indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw marks) candidates. The percentile has been calculated using the following formula.
Formula:
100 X Number of candidates appeared in the examination with raw marks EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate / Total number of the candidates appeared
Note: NTA total score (CMAT) is not an aggregate or average of the subject-wise NTA (CMAT) score. It is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.
CMAT Merit List 2019 – Tie-Breaking Policy
While determining the merit list, the examination authority has adopted the tie-breaking policy wherein the candidates have secured same score/marks. The ties have been resolved in the following manner.
- In case total marks were same for more than one candidate, ranks have been allotted to candidates on the basis of sectional score.
- Candidates older in age has been given preference.

Yes, it is important to practice sectional mock tests as the exam has no time limit for each section, unlike CAT. Sectional mocks will help you in have a practice of solving each section in a time bound manner.

In the last week of CMAT 2027 you should practice only one mock test, that too to stay in the online test mode. You must not attempt multiple tests and rather spend time on revision.
