Initially, I wanted to pursue MBBS and so chose Biology-Mathematics in my XI-XII. But during the state counselling all the government college’s seats were already occupied and I did not prefer to go in private institutions due to less exposure. So, I got into Engineering in a renowned institution of Tamil Nadu – Thiagarajar College of Engineering. But my interest in communicating with people and managing them was still there. So, eventually, I got into MBA which is also a lively career similar to the Medical profession.
I gave my MAT exams in 2018 December. I did not go to any coaching classes as I was working with an organization as a software engineer. But I got all the study material from TIME institute and also practiced online test papers and solved my queries from them. I prepared continuously for 6 months and it was completely self-preparation. I finally cracked MAT with a percentile of 90.10. I wanted to join colleges in Tamil Nadu. So, out of all, Thiagarajar School of Management was the best option with a high Return On Investment.

Our classes start at 8:30 in the morning and run till 3 to 4 PM. In the evenings we do have routine case study preparations. Presentations to be done for the next class and assignments if it is a problem-oriented paper. In the meantime, if we are free from these tasks, we are allowed to pursue a live project in any organization which helps us to have a practical exposure to the current trends in the industry and keeps us engaged. Post 7 pm, we relax at the shuttle or throw ball ground. These activities provide good relaxation for the body and mind with peacocks chirping around in the lush green campus. We have extracurricular activities like intra- college competitions where we can enhance our talents and am always a part of Tamil oratorical competitions as a participant and also an organizer. Along with all these, we have an Intercollege management fest coming up which we are busy organizing and scheduling events. We also participate in other intercollege fests – an average of one per month. For me, Marketing and HR classes are always interesting as they teach us how to build relations and value. I would like to do some research on HR about various motivation techniques that can be used to ensure growth. As an individual, I like to chat and roam around with friends. But after my admission to Thiagarajar School of Management, I feel very productive.
