Confessions… confessions everywhere, whatever the confession…. I don’t care!
Well so goes the saying and here comes the truth, the truth as the students at IIMs would call it. We are sure the management and the authorities at the various IIMs are wary of the content posted here and there on IIM confessions. Many would come across and state how foolish or fabricated the various pages floating around these confessions actually are. What we would say is that they are a fun read and helps one understand that life inside an IIM is not all that grey, students at IIMs do chill out, let their hair down and yes, people at IIMs do have a funny bone.
And believe us when we say that there are many people interested in the real confessions of IIMs and that is the reason why there are more than a dozen pages on the web with people confessing about their stay at the IIMs. Based on the popularity that the IIM confession facebook page got, a new Non-IIM confessions page was launched on facebook which is slowly and steadily gaining hits.

So, let’s understand how these pages work. The process of posting for most of these confession pages is quite simple, you are given a link for a Google form; you fill in the name of your IIM followed by your confession and simply submit your confession and that too anonymously.
Some of the most common and fun confessions we came across were about these:
Career guidance
Yes! You read it is right all the confessions are not about some scandalous episode that took place on campus. Aspiring students, every now and then also get expert advice on what they can do to perform better along with which exams they should sit for to make it large in life.
Confused about joining MBA
Are you one among the many who is confused about why they thought of pursuing MBA? Well many geniuses, who got that perfect 99.9 percentile, think just the same.
Education at IIM
Students even talk about how they study at IIMs which if it does’t provide you any information is amusing to say the very least. Students have often written blogs about their stays at the IIMs and these confession pages just take a step forward from there.
Placement Cells
One thing for which most students had a word of praise was the Placecom. Some even went on say that placements were one of the main reasons they thought of joining an IIM, in the first place.
Girls. Affairs. Heart-Break
Last but the not the very least in any way on confession pages are posts on the best looking girl and proposals. Well, we know that girls are in dearth at IIMs but the extent, to which posts on this topic go on and on and on, is mind-boggling. And all you romeos out there are also given free tips on how to woo a girl.
Every now and then you must have heard that at IIMs there is cut throat competition. These confession pages certify that very statement.
Students even try and share their feelings about the IIM selection process and generalizations made about students on the basis of their native place. However, this doesn’t only happen at IIM, this seems like a confession about India as a Nation.
At some instances students even go on the verge of making some scandalous confessions, which seem upright fabrications. But it is their confession not ours, they may as well say anything.

There is no minimum qualifying marks for CAT. Anybody scoring above 0 in the exam is eligible for admission, however the B-Schools select candidates on the basis of cut offs which are 60 and above percentile.
