GMAC is conducting NMAT 2023 in 76 exam centres spread across 73 test cities located in different regions of India. Candidates can choose the exam cities while completing the NMAT registration and choose a particular exam centre for NMAT 2023 while scheduling the exam.

NMAT 2023 will be conducted under a testing window of 70 days from October 10 to December 19. Candidates can choose from 73 test cities or appear for the online proctored test from home. Check the complete list of NMAT exam centres here.

NMAT 2023 Exam Centres: GMAC is conducting NMAT 2023 in 76 exam centres spread across 73 test cities located in different regions of India. Candidates can choose the exam cities while completing the NMAT registration and choose a particular exam centre for NMAT 2023 while scheduling the exam. Pearson VUE, on behalf of GMAC shall conduct the NMAT 2023 exam in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and online proctored mode. However, the online proctored exam is only available in countries other than India.

To facilitate smooth exam functioning, the conducting body shall provide special assistance and accommodation facility for physically challenged candidates. Test-takers can request special arrangements, which shall be allotted to them at the NMAT exam centres 2023. Candidates can use the NMAT login account to schedule the exam and choose the preferred exam centre and date. The NMAT exam scheduling and marking test centre preference is part of the application process; however, before the application process, candidates must complete NMAT 2023 registration, including fee payment.

Q:   What is the NMAT exam date?
A:

Graduate Management Admission Council conducts the NMAT exam within a particular exam timeline. Every year, NMAT exam is usually scheduled to be conducted in the last quarter of a calendar year. Candidates are able to take the exam until December. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam three times during the testing window. Soon after taking the first exam attempt, candidates can fill the retake registration form to apply for the NMAT retake. However, one can schedule a retake of the NMAT exam 15 days after the first take.

NOTE: NMAT exam dates can vary every year. However, the timeline remains the same.

Q:   Who releases the NMAT exam dates?
A:

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) releases the NMAT exam dates every year. GMAC conducts the NMAT exam once every year within a specific testing window. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam three times during this testing  window. The NMAT exam dates can be found on the official exam website. While scheduling the NMAT exam, candidates can choose a desired date to appear for the NMAT exam. Alternatively, NMAT exam dates can be found on shiksha's page for NMAT exam.

Q:   What is meant by NMAT retake window?
A:
GMAC conducts NMAT with a aspirant-first approach. Candidates can appear for NMAT three times during one exam session. That means, GMAC provides one main attempt and two retake attempts for the NMAT exam. The meaning of retake of the NMAT exam implies that any applicant can attempt the test thrice, including the first attempt. In other words, the process of reappearing for the exam is known as exam retake. Candidates aspiring for a retake attempt have to apply using the NMAT retake window. However, candidates can reappear for the exam, not before 15 days after the first attempt. Similarly, third exam attempt can only be scheduled on a date 15 days after the second attempt for NMAT exam.

  • Candidates appearing for the NMAT 2023 exam must provide a self-declaration stating that they don't have the following symptoms
    • Fever
    • Headache
    • Cold & Cough
    • Difficulty in Breathing
    • Diarrhoea
  • Candidates must carry a hard copy of the NMAT admit card and display the same along with the necessary documents maintaining the social distancing protocols
  • Wearing a face mask is mandatory at all times during the test, carrying a transparent water bottle and hand sanitiser is recommended. Exam centres will not have the facility to provide face masks, gloves of face shields. Thus, candidates must carry the same at the time of appearing for the exam.
  • Candidates need to store their personal belongings in the lockers at the test centres
  • Candidates have to follow social distancing norms by maintaining a gap of minimum of three feet from fellow test-takers inside or outside the exam hall
  • AC to be operated based on the Local Conditions, ensure adequate Ventilation and lighting
  • Parent or guardians will not be allowed to accompany the candidates inside the exam hall. They are also advised not to overcrowd the test centre

NOTE: NMAT by GMAC is being conducted in both means, i.e. remotely proctored mode from home or test at the exam centre. Candidates need to choose the same while filling the form.

NMAT 2023 Exam Centre Instructions and Facilities

Selection of NMAT by GMAC Exam Centres: Candidates can select their test centres while scheduling their exam. The list of exam centres for NMAT 2023 will be available during scheduling and candidates can select multiple test centres to their nearest location.

Facilities for PwD candidates: Candidates with physical disabilities taking the NMAT exam can request for special arrangements as under:

  • Accommodation facility
  • Extra Time
  • Reader
  • System allotment with large fonts on the screen
  • Scribe for visually handicapped candidates
  • Mobility assistance

Criteria for Accommodation and Special Arrangements: The special arrangements will be made only for candidates who will raise requests during NMAT 2023 registration and application process and the accommodation facility will only for candidates with the following disabilities:

Q:   What is the scheduling and rescheduling of NMAT exam?
A:

NMAT scheduling refers to booking slot for the test. In case of any change in the scheduled date, candidates can choose NMAT rescheduling window and choose a new date.

Q:   How can applicants know about the time slot and date of NMAT exam?
A:
The date, time slot and exam venue will be printed on the NMAT admit card. It is a chain of the process; first, the candidate will have to schedule the test using the 'schedule test' option available under the exam tab on the candidate dashboard in NMAT by GMAC account. The test scheduling option will be available after they have received a confirmation email from the exam conducting authority about the receipt of the NMAT application fee. Candidates can then choose the date and time slot of the test as per their convenience for NMAT by GMAC exam. The facility to book date and time slot along with the selection of preferable locations of the test centre is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Q:   What is the procedure to reschedule the NMAT exam?
A:

Candidates can reschedule the NMAT exam via the login dashboard. However, candidates will have to pay a processing fee for the same.

  • Mobility impairment
  • Blindness – low vision or no vision
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Leprosy and other

Key Information for NMAT by GMAC

PWD candidates have to arrange for their own scribe first if they are not able to then GMAC will provide a scribe facility at the NMAT test centres. However, in any case, they have to request for a scribe to GMAC

Candidates should carry their NMAT 2023 admit card and the following documents such as ID proof to their exam centres on the test day in original as well as photocopies:

  • Valid passport
  • PAN card
  • Aadhaar Card/UID
  • Voter ID
  • Debit Card/Credit Card (as a signature document)
  • Driver’s License (as a signature document)
