NMIMS MBA Admission through NMAT 2025: SVKM's NMIMS will soon release post NMAT dates for MBA admissions. Before the start of the second stage of NMIMS MBA admission process, candidates will find NMIMS PI shortlist along with the NMIMS cutoff scores. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the NMIMS selection rounds, including the competence assessment test, and personal interview round.

NMIMS offers MBA admission via NMAT exam to five campuses, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore, and Benagluru. NMIMS MBA selection process is divided into two stages. The first stage of the NMIMS MBA admission requires candidates to appear for NMAT exam. The second stage under NMIMS MBA selection process includes a personal interview round and NMIMS competency assessment test.

NMIMS MBA Admission through NMAT: Eligibility Criteria

The course wise eligibility criteria for NMIMS MBA admissions via NMAT is as follows:

MBA

Candidates applying for the MBA course at any of the campuses of NMIMS must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks are required to be eligible for NMIMS admissions. Candidates who are appearing for the last semester of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible; however, they must have passed the UG level program before NMIMS admissions.

MBA in Business Analytics

Candidates holding a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, Management Studies, or Computer Science are eligible for the MBA in Business Analytics course. All aspirants are required to secure a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent marks at UG level.

Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics at their graduation level to be eligible for the MBA in Business Analytics admission at NMIMS.

MBA in Digital Transformation

Candidates who have completed any of the following degree courses are eligible for the MBA in Digital Transformation offered by NMIMS:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Masters of Computer Application
  • Bachelor of Science (IT)
  • Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)
  • Bachelor of Science (Electronics)
  • Bachelor of Science (Physics)
  • Bachelor of Science (Maths)
  • Any other graduate degree with Mathematics as a mandatory subject

All aspirants are required to secure a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent marks at UG level.

MBA in Pharmaceutical Management

Candidates who have completed any of the following degree courses are eligible for the MBA in Pharmaceutical Management offered by NMIMS:

NMIMS MBA Admission Process 2025

SVKMs NMIMS has divided the MBA admissions across two stages. First stage of the MBA admissions requires candidates to take the NMAT exam conducted by GMAC. The second stage of the NMIMS admission process is administered by the institute itself after shirtlisting candidates based on their NMAT scores. NMAT exam provides three attempts within one admission year. However, SVKMs NMIMS shortlisted candidates based on the scores from their first attempt.

Candidates must apply for the NMAT exam from the official website, mba.com. Additionally, candidates need to fill the NMIMS application form online via the official website of the university, nmims.edu. Applying at NMIMS website will also require candidates to provide their NMAT ID.

NMIMS MBA Selection Criteria: Valid Work Experience

  • Work experience after completing graduation level education will be considered.
  • Candidates must have a work experience more than 1 year to get a weightage in the selection process.
  • Company where the candidate has worked must be listed in both GSTIN and TAN databases
  • Internships, apprenticeships,and training experiences will not be considered as valid work experience.
  • Work experience obtained through family business/self-employment will not be considered for the weightage.
  • If salary was paid in cash during the time of employment, the work experience will not be treated valid.
  • To obtain weightage for the work experience, third-party verification of documents will be done.

NMIMS Competency Test for MBA Admission

The NMIMS Competency Assessment is the second-stage evaluation conducted before the Personal Interview (PI) for all shortlisted candidates. The competency assessment helps assess critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, and managerial skills. NMIMS competency assessment features multiple-choice questions from three sections, namely

Admission to BTech at NMIMS Navi Mumbai is competitive as it is based on performance in NMIMS-CET or JEE Main. Students with a good academic record and good entrance exam score have better chances. The choice is made on the basis of merit and cutoff marks.

To get a seat at NMIMS Mumbai, students have to appear for the accepted entrance examination and then appear for the counselling process for the particular exam. For the MBA/PGDM programme, the university accepts the NMAT exam. Students who belong to the General AI category would need a score of at least 248 according to the 2024 data. 

Students who attain this score can then proceed to the second round of the admission process, which involves WAT (Written Analytical Test) and PI (Personal Interview). Students who clear this round are then offered an admission letter, which they can accept after paying the required fee for the MBA course.
