Special OJEE 2026 was held from July 13 to 15. The exam was held in the computer-based test mode. Result of Special OJEE was released on July 22. Special OJEE is also called the 2nd OJEE. Special OJEE 2026 was conducted for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch and MPharma courses under OJEE. The Special OJEE registration date 2026 was released online after the OJEE result 2026 declaration. 

Special Odisha Joint Entrance Exam or Special OJEE is conducted for students could not appear for the main OJEE exam. The 2nd/Special OJEE 2026 exam was conducted for admission to first-year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha against the vacant seats left after the first round of counselling of OJEE and students belonging to states other than Odisha are not eligible for admission to government colleges, but, can opt for private colleges. Candidates seeking admission through Special OJEE, had to follow the proces below to apply for Special OJEE 2026:

  1. Go to OJEE website, ojee.nic.in

  2. Click on Registration for 2nd or Special OJEE Exam
  3. Fill details such as name, email ID, mobile number, etc. 
  4. Now, submit details to get an application ID

  5. Students should login with registered application number and password

Instructions Regarding Special OJEE 2026

Mentioned below are some important instructions regarding Special OJEE 2026:

  • Special OJEE 2026 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode in the English medium.
  • Special OJEE will be conducted for admissions to BTech, Le-Tech (Diploma), Le- Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and MPharma courses under OJEE.
  • Three new courses, MTech, MPlan and MArch have also been added for admission through Special OJEE. 
  • The second/Special OJEE 2026 exam will be conducted for admission to first-year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha for the vacant seats left after the first round of OJEE counselling.
  • Candidates belonging to states other than Odisha are not eligible for admission to government colleges. They can opt for private colleges. 
  • Students holding a rank or have appeared for JEE Main 2026 or OJEE 2026 do not have to appear for the Special OJEE exam.
  • Candidates should reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam. They should carry the OJEE admit cards.
  • Candidates cannot leave before the exam has ended. 
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic gadgets, books, study material, etc. to the exam centre. 
  • The exam will have MCQ questions. Each question will carry four marks. One mark will be deducted in case of incorrect answer.

Special OJEE admit card 2026 was released in online mode. Given below are the steps to download the Special OJEE admit card 2026:

  • Visit the official website of OJEE
  • Click on the '2nd/Special OJEE admit card' link on the homepage
  • Enter the application number and date of birth in the DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Enter the captcha code 
  • Now, click login. 
  • The Special OJEE admit card will be displayed on the screen which can be downloaded
  • Click on the download button and take a coloured printout of the admit card.

Candidates should report the counselling centre with original as well as copies of the following documents:

  1. OJEE Seat Allotment Letter
  2. Acknowledgement slip of admission fee
  3. Counselling registration slip
  4. OJEE rank card and result copy
  5. OJEE admit card
  6. OJEE application form
  7. Class 10, Class 12 or equivalent mark sheets
  8. Graduation degree mark sheet, provisional letter and character certificate
  9. Transfer Certificate
  10. Residence Certificate of Odisha (mandatory) from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar
  11. SC/ST Certificate by birth issued by the government of Odisha
  12. Income Certificate for TFW candidates for the financial year 2023-2024

Q:   What is the float option in OJEE Counselling?
A: 
Float option can be used in OJEE counselling by those who have accepted a seat but want a better programme or option. Such candidates will be considered for better preferences in next round of OJEE counselling process. 
Q:   Can I appear for OJEE counselling process even if I have not taken OJEE exam?
A: 

OJEE counselling process is open to students who have appeared for OJEE, ATMA, CAT, JEE Main, NEET, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NIMCET, GATE or GPAT. These scores will be accepted for OJEE admissions. 

Q:   Am I eligible for OJEE counselling based on my JEE Mains marks and rank? I have not appeared for Orissa JEE.
A: 
Yes, all the JEE Main rank holders are eligible to take part in the OJEE counselling process for admission to the engineering programmes offered by colleges accepting OJEE scores. Even if the candidates have not appeared for the OJEE exam, they can get admission to various colleges based on their JEE Main scores. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET (UG) with a valid rank. Candidates must get the scores verified at JEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar-751030 in person who are taking a part in the OJEE counselling through JEE Mains or other qualifying entrance exams. JEE rank holders will be eligible to participate in the counselling process irrespective of their admission status.

Q:   How to get subject-wise marks for the OJEE result?

OJEE scorecard only mentions the overall scores obtained by the candidates in the OJEE exam. However, those candidates who wish to know their sectional scores in the exam can follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Write an application to request OJEE Cell for sending your subject-wise marks in OJEE (paper-specific)

  • Along with the request application, candidates need to enclose a demand draft of any nationalised bank at Bhubaneswar for INR 400 drawn in favour of “OJEE-2023”

  • The application should reach OJEE Cell within ten days of the OJEE result announcement

Q:   What should I do after the OJEE result?
A: 

After the OJEE result declaration, top colleges which accept the OJEE scores start the shortlisting process. The OJEE scores are accepted in over 40 B-schools in the state of Odisha. After the results, the OJEE Cell releases OJEE  merit list. OJEE participating institutes then release OJEE cutoffs category-wise and invite applicants to appear for the OJEE counselling process which includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for admissions. The OJEE admission process after the result declaration includes:

  1. Applications to be sent out to the institutes where you want to take admission.
  2. Participating in the counselling process which includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
  3. Submitting the required documents to the institutes where you have been shortlisted and part admission fee.
  4. Paying the complete course fee and getting an admission confirmation.
Q:   Can I get admission in an engineering college in Odisha through OJEE counselling based on JEE Mains rank?
A: 
The Odisha Cell will conduct the OJEE counselling for JEE Main rank holders and OJEE-qualified aspirants. The OJEE counselling dates will be available on the official website of Odisha JEE. Interested candidates will be required to complete the OJEE counselling registration process within the deadline. Based on JEE Mains rank you can always get any college in any state of your choice. However, giving the state joint entrance examination gives you a higher percentage of chances of seats in the colleges of your state. Candidates belonging to the state of Odisha will be eligible to take admission to the government colleges in the state, and non-native students are eligible to take admission to private colleges and institutes. A: 

The OJEE result will be declared online after the exam is conducted. The OJEE result cum scorecard is an important document for the OJEE counselling and admission process. The following details are mentioned on every candidate's OJEE scorecard:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Candidate's roll number
  3. Candidate's applicarion number
  4. OJEE exam date
  5. OJEE course that the candidate appeared for
  6. Overall marks obtained by the candidate
  7. Rank obtained by the candidate
  8. OJEE qualifying status

The merit lists for OJEE will be issued based on the ranks obtained by the candidates. OJEE merit list 2023 will be released separately for each course.

OJEE Counselling 2026

Candidates can sit for OJEE counselling for the final seat allotment after the result declaration. The counselling takes place online and offline as well. After registering for the Special OJEE counselling, students will have to register online and then lock their choice. The counselling cell releases a seat allotment list for colleges available based on the choices filled by the candidates and the merit list. With an OJEE rank of 116 in the SEBC category, you have a strong chance of getting an MCA seat at VSSUT.

Definitely, you should wait until Round 3 because later counselling rounds may have lower cutoff for different categories.

The OJEE exam is primarily for Lateral Entry (joining directly in the 2nd year). However, a "Special OJEE" is sometimes conducted to fill vacant seats in private colleges after the main counseling is over.
