As the upcoming exams would involve a slightly different exam-taking strategy as compared to the CAT, SNAP, NMAT and TISSNET, it is advised to start giving mock tests well in advance. As there are still over three weeks after TISSNET for CMAT, solving a total of about 9-10 mocks would be an ideal strategy.

It would definitely be a huge respite for the aspirants once the clock strikes 3:40 pm on January 4 as the TISSNET exam gets over. After leaving the exam hall, I advise aspirants to leave from that environment as soon as possible since the fellow candidates could discuss the test at that time. Upon knowing your shortcomings, it might demoralise you hence better reach home and have a much-needed sound sleep.

Once you wake up, check out the detailed analysis of the overall test from reliable sources on the Internet, coaching classes, and from your peers. Know well where exactly you scored more and where you didn’t. Do not feel too disheartened upon realising your shortcomings; a bad day can happen to even the best of aspirants. Make a detailed note of both the major and minor errors that happened during the exam.

Later in the day, spend some quality time with your parents and friends who would help you unwind nicely. It is also something you surely deserve after missing out during your preparation phase.

Keep realistic expectations from your eventual result. This will not hurt you if even you score lower than your expectations. There are other management entrance exams that will follow. These include CMAT, CET, MAT, and ATMA. Never let your performance in one exam affect your preparations in the other(s) in which you would have better chances of scoring higher.

Over the next couple of days, keep abreast of the basic concepts and the list of mistakes you’ve committed in both the mocks and final exams. This will help you immensely in not repeating them in the forthcoming exams such as CMAT, MAT, and CET, etc.

Since I assume you have already appeared for the likes of CAT, NMAT, SNAP, IIFT, and now TISSNET, you will be devoid of all the exam-related pressure. This would come in handy a lot in the upcoming exams such as CMAT, CET, MAT, and ATMA; wherein you could score much better due to their comparatively lower difficulty level. The preparation already done for GK would help in the next exam involving GK (CMAT) and will make it a much smoother ride.

If you have put in the required efforts during your preparation, you are bound to score well in the exam. Until the results are declared, be and think positive about the outcome. If you are destined to get a great score in an exam, you will surely get it. Even if not, you are destined to get a great score in some other exam. Never lose hope.
