Any additional factor can arise that may affect the TSICET last ranks.
Q:   What is TSICET qualifying cutoff?
A:

Every year, with the release of TG ICET notification, TGCHE notifies the qualifying cutoff, also known as qualifying score. Candidates appearing for the TG ICET exam must meet the qualifying cutoff to participate in the counselling process. The qualifying cutoff has not changed from the previous session. Q:   What is the passing percentage for MBA admissions in TG ICET exam?
A:

Telangana Council of Higher Education has set the minimum qualifying marks at 25 per cent in TSICET for open category candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories do not have any qualifying cutoff score. Typically, the pass percentage in TGICET remains between 85 per cent to 93 per cent of all the test takers. Candidates who pass the TGICET exam are eligible for the counselling process administered online. TGCHE conducts a centralised counselling process for Telangana MBA admissions.

Q:   What is a good TSICET score?
A:

Difference b/w TG ICET Passing Marks and Admission Cutoffs

TS ICET pasing marks or the TS ICET qualifying marks are sometimes termed as qualifying cutoff. The TG ICET qualifying cutoff is different from the admission cutoffs. TG ICET admission cutoffs indicate the last rank at which the admission is closed in a particular participating institute. Whereas, meeting the TS ICET qualifying cutoff ensures candidates are eligible for the centralised counselling process.

For instance, a candidate could have secured marks between 70 - 80, which is above the TS ICET qualifying cutoff. However, such candidates may still not get admission into Osmania University or JNTU-Hyderabad, as these institutes typically require candidates to score between 110 and 119 marks.

TS ICET Tie Breaking Criteria for Rank Allotment

If two or more candidates achieve an identical normalized score in the TS ICET, the TSCHE utilizes tie-breaking criteria in a specific chronological order to determine the final rank:

  • Candidates who secure more marks in Section A (Analytical Ability) of the exam receive preference for rank allotment.

  • If candidates have an equal score in Section A, the individual who secured more marks in Section B (Mathematical Ability) receives priority.

  • If the tie remains unresolved, the ranking authority considers the age of the candidates. The older candidate, verified by the date of birth on their SSC certificate, is assigned the higher rank.
