After conquering state level test, Somashekar, a 30-year-old working professional, now plans to repeat his performance in the national level management entrance test, CAT. Somashekar graduated in B Sc in 2009 and immediately took up a job in the central excise department, for which he had qualified. He decided to work after graduation to support his family, but always harboured the dream doing an MBA. He is now preparing to take CAT and hopes to make it to IIM Ahmedabad.
Even though Somashekar plans to join IIM Ahmedabad, he doesn’t want to quit his job. In fact, he is hoping to get a short break from the job to complete his MBA and rejoin the excise department.
Second topper Raag Khandelwal, a BITS Pilani student, is also a CAT topper. In CAT 2016, Raag scored 99.99 percentile in his first attempt. One of the only eight out of 1.75 lakh students who took CAT. Raag who scored 156/200 in TSICET 2017 is studying integrated MSc Maths and BE in civil engineering from BITS-Pilani, and wants to become an entrepreneur in future just like his parents.
Third topper Rutwik Prabhat Annadanam, also a native of Hyderabad, scored 155/200 marks in TSICET 2017. He had also appeared for CAT 2016 and managed to convert interview call from IIM Calcutta. Rutwik had appeared for CAT in 2014 as well and had converted call from IIM Kashipur.
For Rutwik, it is the moment of double celebration as he not only converted IIM Calcutta call but also topped the state level exam.
