The nine out to top ten candidates of TSICET 2017 are boys, with top three positions been grabbed by them. Dulam Sri Lakshmi of Suryapet is the only girl candidate to make it to the top 10.

TSICET 2017 conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education announced the results for MBA and MCA on May 31. The exam held on May 18 was taken by 72,448 candidates from across the state. TSICET 2017: Check final keys

Beating 72,447 candidates, Somashekar from Suryapet bagged the first rank by scoring 166 out of 200 marks. Rank 2 and 3 were bagged by Hyderabad boys Raag Khandelwal (156/200 marks) and Rutwik Prabhat Annadanam (155/200 marks) respectively.

After conquering state level test, Somashekar, a 30-year-old working professional, now plans to repeat his performance in the national level management entrance test, CAT. Somashekar graduated in B Sc in 2009 and immediately took up a job in the central excise department, for which he had qualified. He decided to work after graduation to support his family, but always harboured the dream doing an MBA. He is now preparing to take CAT and hopes to make it to IIM Ahmedabad.

Even though Somashekar plans to join IIM Ahmedabad, he doesn’t want to quit his job. In fact, he is hoping to get a short break from the job to complete his MBA and rejoin the excise department.

Second topper Raag Khandelwal, a BITS Pilani student, is also a CAT topper. In CAT 2016, Raag scored 99.99 percentile in his first attempt. One of the only eight out of 1.75 lakh students who took CAT. Raag who scored 156/200 in TSICET 2017 is studying integrated MSc Maths and BE in civil engineering from BITS-Pilani, and wants to become an entrepreneur in future just like his parents.

Third topper Rutwik Prabhat Annadanam, also a native of Hyderabad, scored 155/200 marks in TSICET 2017. He had also appeared for CAT 2016 and managed to convert interview call from IIM Calcutta. Rutwik had appeared for CAT in 2014 as well and had converted call from IIM Kashipur.

For Rutwik, it is the moment of double celebration as he not only converted IIM Calcutta call but also topped the state level exam.

This year boys edged girls in TSICET marginally with 97.23% boys passing the exam as opposed to 97.11% girls. A total of 71,097 candidates have appeared of which 69,091 have cleared the test accounting to 97.18 pass percent. Hyderabad district fared well with 37,819 of the 38,727 Hyderabad candidates that appeared for the test cleared the exam, with a pass percentage of 97.66%, While Karimnagar was at the bottom with a pass percentage of 96.15%.

Students having B Tech/BE background did exceptionally well (boys 99.40% and girls 99.39%) as compared to those with B Sc, BCA or BBM background.

About 25,000 seats in the state colleges are up for grabs through TSICET, this year.

MGU, Nalgonda has not notified about any change in the issuance date for TSICET hall ticket. Any change in the date for ICET hall ticket download is notified on the official exam website.

The TG ICET admit card is usually released in the first half of the scheduled date. However, TGCHE has not notified any timeline for issuance of hall ticket beforehand. Any updates regarding the TG ICET admit card download link by TGCHE are conveyed on the TG ICET hall ticket webpage by shiksha.

TG ICET exam is conducted in an online mode at designated test centres. Candidates are assigned a computer system for the ICET exam at the test centre.

No, candidates cannot get your exam centre changed. TGCHE allocates the test centre based on the zone preferences provided in the ICET application form.

No, candidates cannot carry a watch or any electronic devices to the TGICET exam centre. Items like mobile phones, calculators, and pagers are also prohibited inside test centre.
