National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an all India-level entrance exam conducted by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions to Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses at the undergraduate level at various government and private medical colleges across the country. It provides admission to over 90,000 aspirants every year. Moreover, it is an offline exam conducted in the conventional pen-paper mode.

Every year a lot of students are preparing and appearing for NEET to make their dream a reality. They struggle and work hard towards scoring well in the exam. And, in order to crack NEET, all aspirants must know the exact syllabus and pattern. NEET syllabus is divided into four categories — Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Candidates must aware of all 97 chapters and need to complete them in the span of two years in order to get a good score in NEET. And aspirants are advised to check the eligibility criteria also.

There is a tough competition and as an aspirant, you need to remember each and everything which is necessary for you regarding the NEET examination. The Board exams are just a month away and most of the NEET aspirants face a lot of problems in preparing for both NEET and Board examinations together. Many of the candidates are in the state of dilemma while dealing together.
In this article, I will help you to manage the preparation of both the examinations together. At first, go through the pattern, syllabus and previous years’ papers of both the examination.
- Mark the topics which are similar to both. And read them and revise them thoroughly. By doing this, you become confident and you can analyse a different approach and it will help to understand in the right approach.
- Then go through NCERT books thoroughly. The time which you spend to NCERT Books will help you and polish your competitive spirit and basic knowledge regarding the subject.
- Make short notes of every chapter of NCERT and note down the each and every basic formulae and important points which will help you in the revision.
- Complete the syllabus as soon as possible and practice the previous years’ question papers. At last take mock tests and check your analysis. These mock tests and analysis can improve your strategy and can give you good score. The topics, which are similar to NEET and Board examinations, must be given equal importance.
- Time management is a crucial step in any competitive examination. You should have good command over the management of time while preparing as well as attempting the examination. You should organise and have a plan on how much time you are spending on a particular topic or a specific question.
- Coming to last week preparation, you must have a quick review and revise all the topics, which you are aware of and familiar with. Don’t read new topics, avoid tension and don’t lose hope. Keep going on revision of each and every topics. Avoid stress and late-night sleep. Take a sound sleep and healthy food and if possible do meditation to control your stress levels. Avoid irregular and lack of continuity of topics. Avoid reading too many books and give preference to NCERT Books. Don’t show delays on asking doubts.
- Avoid bad friend circle and social media. Read and revise thoroughly scoring topics regarding the subjects. Have a good schedule for last week preparation. Proper rest and relaxations are important for you. Concentrate on important topics and formulas. Mostly focus on diagrams and graphs. Work on your speed and accuracy. Organise the things which you want at the time of examination. Stay calm and train your mind to relax. I hope you will definitely do the best in the examination.
