The advance intimation to exam city slip carries the name of the city where candidates' NEET exam centre will be located. The actual exam centre address will be provided on the NEET admit card.

Q:   What is the validity of the NEET admit card?
A:

NEET admit card is a crucial document which is a must to be carried to the exam centre on the day of the exam. The NEET admit card will be valid till the admission process is completed. Candidates must note that the NEET admt card will be valid for one exam season only. The admit card of NEET cannot be utilised for the exam of next year, or any other exam.

Q:   Why does NTA release NEET admit card a few days before the exam date and not earlier?
A:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NEET admit card three to four days before the exam date. This trend is followed for the past few years, ever since the launch of the exam city intimation slip. The release of the NEET admit card is made a few days in advance to avoid malpractices or instances of impersonation or cheating. Since the NEET admit card is a crucial document and carries the name of the exam centre, it may increase the chances of seucurity breach. Instead, NTA releases the NEET exam advance city intimation slip carrying the name of the city where the exam centre will be located, for the candidates' convenience.

Q:   Will NTA send the NEET admit card via post?
A:

No, NTA does not send the NEET admit card by post and candidates have to download it online from the official website. Students who will appear for NEET must download the admit card in an online mode as and when it is released and not delay it till last moment. Candidates are advised to take multiple printouts and check the details printed on the NEET admit card carefully. In case a candidate lacks a proper internet connection, then he or she can visit a nearby Common Service Centre or CSC or take the help of teachers or peers to download and print the admit card of NEET.

Q:   Should the NEET admit card printout be coloured or black and white?
A:

Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of the NEET admit card. However, it is not compulsory. NTA does not state any guideline regarding this. They should carry two to three spare copies of the NEET admit card for future use. However, in case a candidate does not have access to a coloured printer, s/he can take a black and white printout of the NEET admit card as well, but the details such as photograph and text should be clearly visible. Test takers have to paste their photograph in the space provided and should not have signed on it. The Self Declaration Undertaking has to be filled up prior to the exam day.

Q:   Is it mandatory to carry NEET exam city slip to the exam centre?
A:

It is not necessary to carry the NEET exam city slip to the exam centre. However, candidates need to carry the NEET admit card to the exam centre. The city intimation slip is needed till the release of the admit card.

Q:   How many admit cards should we take for NEET?
A:

Candidates must carry around 2 to 3 copies of the NEET admit card to the exam centre. Though only one copy is required at the exam centre, however, one should carry two or three copies in case of any hussle such as the copy gets stained or torn.

Q:   My name is spelt wrong on the NEET admit card. What should I do?
A:

In such a scenario, candidates must contact the NTA immediately and get it rectified. If the details printed on the NEET admit card does not match those on the official ID proof that candidates will carry on the day of the examination, then they have to show the copies of email communications with NTA requesting to make the necessary changes. NTA has stated that candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam with the originally issued NEET admit card.  NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

Q:   Can I appear for NEET if I forget to carry my photo ID?
A:

No, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, NEET admit card, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These are the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the NEET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which will be allowed at the NEET exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id, etc. The NEET admit card is also required to have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.
