Jharkhand Board Exam 2025 Postponed for Feb 14
JAC Board Exam 2025: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially announced the postponement of the Class 10 matriculation and Class 12 intermediate exams that were scheduled for today, February 14, 2025. The exams will now be held on March 4, 2025, to accommodate the Shab-e-Barat holiday.
JAC Board Exam 2025 Class 10, 12 Revised
As per the JAC notification, the following exams will be rescheduled to March 4, 2025:
- JAC Class 10 Matric Exams 2025: The exams for Kharia, Khortha, Kundmali, and Nagpuri languages will now take place on March 4.
- JAC Class 12 Intermediate Exams 2025: The core language exams for Hindi A and English A will also be conducted on March 4.
This revision in the exam schedule has been made in light of the Shab-e-Barat holiday observed on February 14.
School Closures Due to Shab-e-Barat
In line with the holiday, all schools in Jharkhand will remain closed on February 14, allowing students and staff to observe the Shab-e-Barat festivities.
Current Status of JAC Exams
The JAC board exams 2025 for both Class 10 and Class 12 began on February 11. The exams for Class 10 are being conducted in the morning shift (from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm), while the Class 12 exams are scheduled in the afternoon shift (from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm).
Number of Students and Examination Centres
A total of 7.84 lakh students have enrolled for the JAC board exams this year. Of this, more than 4.33 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 exams across 1,297 examination centres, while over 3.50 lakh students are slated to write the Class 12 exams across 789 centres in the state.
Changes in Exam Conclusion Date
The JAC 2025 exams for both Class 10 and Class 12, which were initially scheduled to conclude on March 3, will now be completed on March 4 due to the rescheduling of the exams on that day.
This revision in the exam schedule ensures that students will not miss their exams due to the Shab-e-Barat holiday and provides ample time to prepare for the revised dates. All students are advised to keep track of the updated schedule and prepare accordingly.

Usually, Jharkhand Board does not change the JAC class 10 time table once it is finalised and released in public domain. The board structure the JAC class 10 exam dates after considering all the national and state holidays and other important events.However, in case of rare unforeseen circumstances like political events, or natural disasters, he board may change the JAC 10th time table.
Jharkhand Board will soon announce the JAC 10th time table 2026. It is expected to be announce anytime in October/November. As per the last year's JAC Matric exam schedule, the JAC 10th Exams 2026 will be conducted in February and March 2026 in pen and paper mode.
Last year, JAC class 10 exams were held from February 11 to March 3, 2025.
